Hi! I have boobs and I make...

The first latex mask I ever made.

Twin Victims from Silent Hill. It was too much fun creeping people out with this.

I think I remember seeing you compete at Anime Matsuri last year, yes? I remember being blown away by the movement of this! Nice job.

I have boobs and I make things for myself and my fiancee...

I love your SH stuff! If I remember correctly, I featured your set on Game Informer's CosBlog at one point! :D

Oh yes! Thank you again for the feature! Nice to meet you!

I think I remember seeing you compete at Anime Matsuri last year, yes? I remember being blown away by the movement of this! Nice job.

That would be Anime Matsuri from this year. I tried my hardest to make it move spooky. I even tried rigging the fingers for movement, but that didn't work out very well. lol I'll need to do a little 'surgery' on it to get better finger movement for Anime Fest.

I make stuff for me, my fiance and my brothers. Sometimes my friends.
I sew, leather craft and chainmail mostly. Random crafts here and there.
I do mostly renaissance, medieval and Victorian garb.

Hi yall! I'm currently in dragoncon cruch mode so I'll keep it short for now. I'm Kell and I'm a Star Wars, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, etc fan who has too many costumes.

There is some really amazing work in the thread, too, I'm really enjoying looking through it all :)

Kell! Yay! Don't take this the wrong way but. . . I stalk you a little. You're so amazing and talented! When I'd think about doing a costume and look to see what else was out there, you had always done the same one. :)

Also, SO MANY TALENTED LADIES ON HERE!! Everybody's stuff is amazing. I was going to post about people individually at first and then was like, "ohmygawdeveryoneissogreat!" So a big, collective :thumbsup

On crossplaying: This is me (in sig) crossplaying. I decided I was Johnny Depp for a few years I guess. (There's Secret Window and Ichabod Crane with no pictures). I just usually like the male characters more than the female characters and it's pretty easy to disguise my face into a pretty-boy man. *shrug*
Recently though, I've gotten more into the whole female versions of characters thing and I'm going to attempt a Lady Thor for Halloween this year (my bff is going as a modern Lady Captain America).

Now, to dig up some pics to post!

Tiney - I've been thinking it might be time for the White....Witch...to make another DCon appearance. I think I had it there in 2007 - maybe 2008 so it's long overdue.

There is some sick talent here ladies! Thanks to Abby for starting this!

This thread needs "we are family, I got all my sisters with" playing the whole time. Awesome talent coming from the ladies.

Moonwildflower, your first latex mask is really impressive! At least I think it is ... actually, I'm having a hard time remembering what it looks like ;-)

My recent big project has been Loki (Avengers costume) for my husband. I'll have it finished by dragoncon, but only if I work really intently, that sort of thing. I had been thinking to do female!Thor for myself but there's no way that's gonna happen this year; I'll have to settle for Stark instead.

I just joined recently the RPF and have only been working on costumes for a few months, but all of the ladies on these forums have been a huge help and inspiration (even if you never knew it). :)

There are so many people who are crazy about the littlest details, you make researching a costume easy because you figure out every angle before I begin, and you document with tons of information and photos. Keep up the awesome work. :thumbsup

Hi I'm Jane, I have not posted here in some time. Mainly because until Art took over women were not welcome or respected here. But I'm glad to see things changing.

I'm a Costumer, propmaker, blah, blah, blah...I make stuff, I wear it, I have fun.

I'm probably known more for my N7 Suit which was made by my Partner EvilFX. But I make my own stuff too. I have a Degree in Technical Theater with a Costume and Lighting Design Concentration. I sew, I sculpt, EVA Foam builds and anything else I can get my hands on. I worked as a Portrait Painter for 10 years and if you need to know anything about paint, I'm your gal. I currently Admin the N7 Elite Costuming Group which focuses on Mass Effect Costumes and Props. I'm currently working on 4 costumes, so I'm a busy gal.

The talent in this thread is breathtaking - seriously. There are too many to address individually for the time I have, but this thread is proving that costuming ladies mean business! :cheers

What a great solution to armor! I love the look of the leggings with the knee caps. I've been toying with making another full armor piece and I'm storing this idea away in my brain!!

Aktrez, I see your pictures now; they are awesome! 8)

And everybody else who post here post awesome pictures, too. I feel like I need to up my game and make something more spetacular. Hopefully my next project will have 'it'. :p

Ooohhh.... Look at all the pretty costumes!

Aktrez: You're new to me, but I'm loving your stuff.

Moonflower: Absolutely awesome!

Fangs: Your taste in subject matter is almost as impressive as your work.

Kelldar: We've never interacted here or anywhere else, but I've seen you around and it always amazes me how you can turn out so many expertly crafted and wonderful costumes. Do you actually poop them? Like fo realz.

Meaganmarie: wow!

Great stuff everyone!

really enjoyed looking at all the awesome stuff (and great variety of stuff) on this thread!!

@aimeekitty - I adore your Shiva! Wig styling is also on my to-do list. Very impressive work!

Thanks! Wigs mostly take practice figuring out how the fibers react to heat and how you can add wefts of hair to add bulk and structures.

aimeekitty, did they let you into disneyland with that disney princess costume?
usually they are rather strict about this stuff, iirc?

THey ARE very strict about it. The only time you can go is during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween event which is a separate ticketed event (in fact, you can probably buy tickets for it right now for this coming fall....) You can wear any costume you want (within DIsney's decency rules I'm guessing) including Disney costumes. However, if you wear Disney costumes, you aren't allowed to let people (not even children) take photos with you. Which is a bummer. They're afraid people will think you are the "real" disney character. which I understand, but it sucks to tell kids "you cant take a photo with me".

AimeeKitty: I recognize that River from the facebook costume contest

Yup, that's me! ^___^
