Hey Kids - Let's cast THE JUSTICE LEAGUE (plus a rumor I heard at WB)

Nothing a pair of boots couldn't correct, even without lifts, the heels should be enough to cover that. I'm personally more concerned about her acting like I said before, she is big enough while remaining feminine and pretty, we wouldn't want an actress like Mother Russia from Kick-ass 2 now, would we ?
But a slightly bulked up Gemma Arterton would do nicely too, and no worries about her acting chops there.

Speaking of height, Cavill will need lifts to face Afleck, he's 2 or 3 inches shorter than him, while he should be 2 or 3 inches taller ! A batman taller than superman would be kinda odd...

Really???? What is your definition of statuesque?

Tall. A woman who is at least 5'10".

Gina is a badass but she's got a different style and build than WW.
You could do worse, to be sure, but I wouldn't call her ideal.

An Amazon is going to be tall, by definition.

If I was casting I would go looking for undiscovered talent among tall Olympic women athletes who might fit the bill for WW. The only limiting factor is that she ought to be *ahem* buxom as well as athletic.

Honestly I would really like to see someone who isn't widely known to people play WW. Like they did with cavill.

Hopefully not Starro. My first reaction would be Darkseid, but they may want to save him for the sequel for threat escalation purposes.

My pitch would be Amazo. A.R.G.U.S. has Professor Ivo build the robot to counter Superman if he ever becomes a threat to Earth, the robot goes bad, the League assembles to take it out since Superman alone can't do it.

Or be even more obvious in trying to capitalize on Avengers' success and use Brainiac.

Most likely Darkseid. Sigh - outside of Luthor and the Joker, DC has a shortage of real good villains.

DC has plenty of good villains. WB only markets Superman and Batman, and thus their arch nemeses get the most exposure and are the only "name" villains to the layman.

I'll disagree... outside of some obvious "big guns," DC's weakness has been their villains.. they have the best heroes but have always lacked some great villains to match up with them.

Batman's rogues gallery alone gives Marvel a run for their money in the villain department. Spider-man's rogues gallery is comparable (but inferior) but beyond that it's pretty much just one big gun per property at best, same as DC.

Really? I think DC has some pretty good villians, for example, brainiac, metallo and deathstroke

Hmmmm I wonder what could be some good villians for jla movie?

-brainiac
-darkseid
-despero
-white Martians
-anti-monitor

These are just my personal picks.

So I have been thinking about this some more. With Goyer writing the story for this, what are the chances that he may still use Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern? They have a history with Blade Trinity. He may be able to steer Reynolds as GL in the right direction. He also has a history with Jessica Biel. Any chance he would want her as WW or perhaps HawkGirl?

Scott

I'd say slim unless he's directing. Even still, give how poorly GL performed they'd probably want to distance themselves from that. Hawkgirl isn't alive in New 52, so I'd bet she won't even be an option for the film.

Im still loving Bane, I think he was more badass than he got credit for, Im the opposite. Id like to see DC villains got at Marvel heroes. I love charismatic bad guys.

Superman -- Henry Cavill

Batman -- Ben Affleck (still on the fence about his casting, but it's not like we really have a choice)

Wonder Woman -- Gina Carano or Gemma Arterton (if she bulks it up some)... preferably Gemma.

Aquaman -- Liam McIntyre (from Spartacus: Vengeance)

Green Lantern -- Nathan Fillion (if they go the Hal Jordan route and Nathan slims down a bit), but unfortunately it seems like they might go with Ryan Reynolds' incarnation...

The Flash -- Michael Rosenbaum (if they go the Wally West route)... c'mon, he KNOWS how to play Wally. He's been doing it for years!

Martian Manhunter -- motion capture suit by anybody, voice by Kieth David

:behave Really? DC has some of the most iconic villains. Problem is finding one villain strong enough that it take the entire Justice League to defeat. It'll probably be an invasion movie. If WB had the foresight of a possible Justice League movie they could have done a JLA vs Zod instead of Superman taking him and the rest of his crew out in one movie... Of course they could have Faora-UL come back or brainiac...

Then again i'm willing to wait a few more years if it means finding someone other than zack snyder to direct.

Problem with an invasion movie is that everyone will see it for what it is: Justice League copying The Avengers.
