I'm looking into having certain pieces of the Iron Man suit milled in foam, and haven't been able to find much information about exactly what types of foams are dense enough to be milled.
I have seen some people using Foamular or Pink/blue Foam from Home Depot/Lowes. Is that dense enough for use with a CNC machine?
Also, if foam isn't really an option.. I was also thinking about laminated layers of MDF board to achieve the desired thickness and then have that milled. Is that a viable route?
I really just need a solid material that can retain detail, that comes (or can be made) in block/cube shapes so i cut out solid pieces.
Any help that anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
