Help Needed: What font is on a Beretta pistol slide?

Working on a prop pistol and the slide has the wrong "stamping" on it.

So far my font comparisons have not been close enough.

Does anyone know of an accurate font, similar to the stampings on the side of a Beretta slide?

Thanks in advance!

Look in the "Sans-Serif" section. Click on each font then scroll down to see the whole alphabet. Find one you like.

I can't find a high enough resolution picture of the slide stamping. I can't tell whether or not the letters have rounded or flat tips. Maybe if someone actually has a Beretta 92 on hand or a very good replica, they can tell you. They are probably round-tipped, but I'd want to be sure before getting to far into the work.

Example of a round-tipped font.

Neither of these fonts will work since both have a capital B with unequal lobes. But these examples give you an idea of what to look for.

Probably not Calibri. That was created in 2007. The Beretta has been around since '75.

Try Identifont.com, you can select the sample year and then answer some questions to try and decipher it.

Here's a better example. Looks like the fonts have slightly rounded ends, and not the flat/sharp ends unless my eyes are messing with me... which is entirely possible. :)

Still haven't found a perfect match yet in free fonts. Or any font for that matter. Many "close-ish" but none spot on.
:(

*UPDATE: Found one that's really close...

The middle line of the letter "E" could be a little shorter, but it's pretty close. Going to try and match up with my source image and see how it works out.

Thanks for the suggestions, and feel free to share if you find one that's spot on.

Thank you, that did quite help! I might use it as-is without fixing the E. Or maybe not, depends on how anal I get tonight about it. :)

Thanks again for all the help everyone!
