Help needed on NASA Apollo Costume

Hi all. Question for all the Apollo costumers out there. I'm drawing up plans and trials to build an Apollo space suit but one aspect still alludes me. How do I get the neck ring to sit at its tilted angle? Everything I've tried so far ends up with the ring sitting flat on the shoulders, rather than being raised at the back like in the photo. Any hints, tips or advice?

I don’t know the answer but I do know there are a couple members that have made the Apollo EVA suits so “search and ye shall find!”

Im also quite certain those builders would be more than happy to help out.

I’m a big fan of the “real” space program but do not anticipate making an EVA suit myself.

Hello!

It is an interesting bit of tailor work indeed. Here are some close up shots of my A7L neck ring.

You will note following the seams that there are two parts of fabric coming off of the neck ring. Not saying it's correct, but it is how I chose to bridge Ken's torso pattern and the neck ring hardware.

These suits are awesome.

EDIT- I know it's not as cool as Apollo was, but is anyone following Artemis? PR has a strangle hold on it, but it seems like it's finally happening...
