Can anyone tell me what the three half spheres are on the control box? Also how do I post this picture directly so I dont have to post a link? THis is the control box in the death star when Han and Luke transfer Chewie to a new cell block. I want to make a replica for my sons bedroom. Any help would be appreciated!

Look like blue.

It reminds me of the lights you get on the outside of doors to tell you when to enter, you know like on offices and doctors surgeries etc.

They're old panel mounted indicator lights.
The two large silver rings look like needle roller bearings.

I think blue is a pretty good guess! Im also guessing the diameter is 1". I seem to remember you have access to things like that? Im curious as to what I would name I would have to google to find something like that.

Well Scott I make my own!.......do those have a bezel around them?? it is hard to tell!........I could make you three 1'' colored resin domes if all else fails if they have bezels you could slice up some thin wall aluminum tubing!!?? :thumbsup

I may take you up on the offer but first id like to ask everyone if they know what the originals are called. I did a search for them but came up dry as I dont exactly know what to call them. Anyone?

The lights remind me of when I worked in a factory during college. I seem to remember lit control panel buttons that looked similar to that.

yeah, I'm pretty sure they're still in production, but I don't know of a way for just a normal person to buy them. Pretty sure you'd have to be with an engineering company making a purchase of a lot for a cabinet. it's been a good number of years though since I did that design work so I can't remember the name of the company the we did most of our purchasing through...possibly Square D...but I could be confusing that with something else.
But yes, they are indicator lights for panels, typically used in assembly lines/factories.

I know I've seen those indicator lamps before. In fact, I think we still have something very similar on an ancient humidity and temperature monitoring device in the computer hall where I work.

That panel looks a lot like an R2 Pocket Vent. Somewhat curved and with the vertical slots cut out.
