Help making a 'barrel' like costume

Hey guys. I have been thinking about making a Huck Gee Dame cosplay. I figure it'd be really easy to make out of pva foam, but I also want to be able to pop out of the roof like shown in the picture without worrying about the whole thing crumpling. Most pvc barrels and such are too small. Any suggestions?

Cardboard barrels seem to come in different sizes. Maybe one of those would work?

Depending on your size, maybe culvert? I've seen it mostly come ridged or corrugated, but I HAVE seen some smooth stuff. Wish I had a link for you, but those sightings have been on sight, not at a store. By culvert I mean the stuff that is used to allow a ditch to flow under a road or a paved drive way. Believe they are made out of ABS from what I've seen but I'm not expert.

A culvert would probably work really well, just cover it in foam on the outside. I totally spaced on what those are called. My family runs a backhoe operation business so they wont be hard to come by.

Some hardware supply stores have cardboard tubes intended as forms for pouring concrete footings and pillars. They are quite strong and about 3/8" (10mm) wall thickness.

Have you seen the fiberglass tubes they use to pour concrete columns? Depends on the diameter tube you want, but something to consider. Just surround it with a thin sheet of aluminum and you are good.
