I was at a gun show this last weekend here in AZ and found this being sold as a movie prop at one of the tables. It was only $50 so I picked it up. The guy said he thought it was from some Sci-fi movie starting with "Star". Can you guys help? He initially said "Star Chaser" but thats not right..

Thanks for looking!!!

Interesting. Looks like it was built completly from stuff at home depot. The main handle is definatly from some time of weed whacker or some other power tool. Everything else just looks like metal/PVC pipes with the exception of the fake amunition

I'd bet that the main handle is from a DeWalt battery-powered sawz-all or similar powertool...but as to what movie it might have been used in I don't have a clue...

I have an ammo belt like that in the other room. It's halloween costume cheapo stuff. Mine would be circa 2007 or so but, they've sold them before then and continue to, so, not much help.

Yeah, I'm still drawing a blank. Was probably a "B" rated movie at best anyway. Not good enough to be a Hero version of anything, since you guys are right, most of its off the shelf PVC and such.. Still looking though.

this is the exact handle :

Wow! Thanks guys for the parts breakdown.. It just goes to show, don't throw anything away from your garage, you never know when you might need to protect the world from an invading alien force!!!

Thanks for your help guys/gals. I'm sure the answer is out there somewhere!
