Help Identifying or Reproducing Constantine Keychain

Heads up, the singer medal, the wreathed cross is back in stock.

The Madonna of the street stamping mounted on sterling silver. I swaged it and patina'd it with liver of sulphur. It was glued with Vigor jewelers epoxy and finished with black effects wax.

I knocked the polish down a little with soda blasting and repatina'd.

Hi Mach,

Where did you buy your Singer cross?

- Anders

EDIT: Just found it!

I bought it here:

But check around, I paid $75...it's $90 now. All these websites drop ship from the manufacturer.

Franken-key, made from 4 separate keys. I may electroplate it as the solder, while brass color matched, is silver and patinas differently.

Yes, I believe that there are at least 3 or 4 complete replica key chains based on this thread.

Just made the one on the right from to different pendants. It's actually quite interesting as it is but I'm considering having it silver plated... hmm... we'll see!

I think this might be my favorite of the nine!

Nice work Buch! Does that complete your key ring?

I recently brass plated my Corbin key using a Caswell brass plating solution. It worked well for me using a 3v low amperage power supply. I see on their website that they have several solutions for sale for silver if you want to do it yourself.

Thanks for the tip with the silver plating solutions! Will check that out!

I've had the pendant on the left in my photo for some time now so the new one is just "an extra". Searching for these is quite addictive!

The only thing I need to complete my set is a real Corbin key to replace the replica that I have. On the other hand the replica is very well made...

Are you done with yours now?

This is my replica Corbin:

That replica looks great with the weathering. I wrestled with the same on my key. I wanted an original but finding it was a problem. No one seemed to know what I was talking about even with the great photos from this thread. I'm good with a replica at this point.

I wish I was done with my key ring but I still need to find the Hayward/Creed 7 gifts medal and make the Jeweled Cross Our Lady of Perpetual Help medal. Other than that, I'm close.

Okay guys- so assuming you have all the metals and keys, how difficult is it to attach everything and build those twisted metal spinners for the metal? (I’m sure there’s a real word for those items)

I'm soldering mine. I'm using electronics solder (63% tin and 37% lead). It's very fine, low melt temperature and seems to match the grey in the original prop.

Twisting the wire is not hard. I'm using a bail wire pliers and jeweler's parallel jaw pliers. I don't own this set but it's likely decent for this project.

I'm getting the wire from here at riogrande. Sterling Silver Round Wire, Dead-Soft - RioGrande

I believe 18ga is the correct diameter. I tried 17ga but it was too thick to my eye. YMMV.

Where did you source the silver wires like that? Do you make accurate ones for others?

I just bought my silver wire in the nearest hobby shop. Sorry, I won't have the time to offer any in the near future.

Hope you don't mind me asking, but where did you find your Corbin key?

I didn’t find the keys- I’m in the process of receiving my 100% accurate and complete set of keys and medals from Tenaciousbt. He had completed his full set and has spent the last year completing mine. As far as I know, there are only three truly accurate completed sets in the world. The two that Tenaciousbt made and the original movie prop.

Erm, okay... so did he like auction a set off with the key? Or did he sell it to you?

Funny, he promised to notice me if he was parting with a set. But I'm guessing this is another kind of deal.

No. He’s been building it for me for over a year.
