Help for where to find Vader helmets/pieces.

Hi all, I'm fairly new here for posting and I've been searching through posts looking for links and names for the folks that still offer Vader costume pieces. Most of the threads are missing the pics so I can't really compare what has been out there. Plus I don't seem to see a list anywhere that actually states who has what to offer.

I went to the "Star Wars Helmets" site but they don't have contact info for any of the producers and the info seems outdated. Can anyone offer assistance for which sites or members are still producing any of the items. All recommendations are welcome as well.

I see a couple fiberglass helmets on ebay as well. Anybody know the seller? Is he on here too? Trying to figure out what helmets he is actually offering.

Most of said makers simply don't produce helmets any longer for a myriad of reasons. There's a couple left on ebay but they have questionable business practices....search here, you'll find many threads.

Darth Stone offers a nice 20 Century Vader helmet...I think he's still making them...hit him up. Otherwise, keep an eye on the Junkyard....there's a member that has recently posted a pair of Don Post Classic Action helmets for a good price...they are a great start and with some simple mods and a repaint, the CA looks fantastic.

There's a very good reason why they aren't listed nor addressed by name or how to contact them . . . just ask Lucasfilm! The best way to find these things out is to either send a PM to someone whos Vader helmet you admire or send them an e-mail. You'll also often times see people using acronyms for certain people, and that's to maintain their anonymity to keep them safe from C&Ds.

Well, maybe my wording wasn't so great. I see there are members who have made helmets and pieces but those threads are old with missing pics. So there's no way for me to know if they are even available. If the last post is a year ago I have no idea if that person is even around or willing to make one.

I was hoping for maybe PM's that would reference who I might still be able to get one off of and maybe some thoughts based on previous purchases. I know folks won't advertise and why. Just looking to be pointed in the right direction. Or if the folks who still would make one could PM me to say it's a possibility.

Anyone know anything the 2 on ebay right now?

Of the two on ebay right now the unpainted version is from an ex member on the RPF. And the painted helmet is one that I made some time ago, the one with the fans and such. And recently is another that I have put up for sale on a 5 day listing as well.

Stone, I did see your auction that just went up. You had another up before that? The last painted one I saw was a Portumac lid. Not sure about that one as I haven't found pics of it here yet.

Edit: Stone, the signed lid, is that one of yours or another maker? I saw someone making a chart of all the helmets out there. I have to find a good version that I can read as the type was too small. Makes it hard to know what I'm looking at on eBay. Just trying to figure out which model has the look I prefer as they all seem different.

Is there something wrong with The Prop Den site? No threads come up and it won't let me do a search.

I haven't noticed any problem with the Den. I'm able to log right on.

But no, that is not one of my castings. It was made by a fella that used to go by the name of SPFX, or kosmic-kustomz as he is now known as over on ebay.

Prop Den will not send the activation-mail to me. Can't figure out how to contact admin as I don't see a link.

Both helmets you have up look good and similar even though one's not yours. Not into the ROTJ lid though. My least favorite. Did he leave or did he get kicked off the board?

I haven't noticed any problem with the Den. I'm able to log right on.

Sorry, definitely not trying to bait. Just trying to find out if he was trustworthy or not. I like to keep options open. My question was only to determine whether it was for personal or professional reasons. I wasn't looking for details nor to bring up bad feelings.

I hadn't noticed the eFX thread before and might just hold out to see where that goes. Will depend if it's going to be wearable or not.
