I've got questions on the painting process:

1. I will be using Rust-oleum colors, and the Colonial Red and Aluminum paints seem to fit for the red and silver. But what color would fit the beige-ish parts? Khaki?

2. About how many cans will I need to buy if I'm painting an entire suit, helmet and all?

I thought I posted the helmet file a couple pages ago....
As for colors, I'm color blind. Ask someone else. Lol.
As for how many, ummm on my mark 4,id say I used about 10 cans total? I don't really remember.

Hi there! I'm a really big fan of your work here, and I think your new files are a huge improvement over your old ones. I have one complaint though: lots of foam files, but no love for paper pep?:) Also, have you unfolded your leg file yet? I can't find it on your first post. Keep up the great work!

Oh well. Guess I have to wing it.

This is an in-progress shot of my suit, the upper half of which came from you! I've been trying over and over again to build the abs properly, but because I'm using Jackie's, I can't get the scale right... It's extremely annoying. But I'm on the home stretch! :D

So here we go! Starting it out, this was the first piece I made, Helagaks' remodeled bicep (ignore shamefully skinny human bicep; focus on the paper :thumbsup :D).

So as I'm working on this, I feel like I"m doing something wrong, or =I'm making this way more difficult than it needs to be. Before you go to foam, you need to measure everything out in paper (or cardboard, looking Oscar's up there a bit), correct?

So, do you need to measure your paper printouts, assemble, make adjustments, reprint, reassemble, continue for each piece, and THEN go to foam, where they may or may not be the right size after taking into account foam width? This is the first time I'm doing this, so I'm totally new to this, but this seems like an awful lot of running around. Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining, just feel like there's a trick that I'm missing. Keep me updated. Great work everyone.

These patterns are looking great! Any ETA on the balance of the suit? If I've read this thread correctly the cod, shin and thigh remain? No plans on a neck though? Any plans for a brace for the chest and back?

Sorry for all the ?'s keep up the great work, I've been looking for a complete set of pdo's for a mark 42... This one has a lot of promise

Hey, theone111, that looks awfully small on you. Use pep designer and use "measure between two points. Then measure the same spots on your body, do the math to discover the perfect scale for you.
There has been alot of confusion about the scale of my parts due to different people making different unfolds. I have also been unfolding. I am going to try to rectify all of this on the front page. So, apologies.

Anyways, I'm ALMOST done with the whole leg!!

Also, I finished the shin unfold!
It's the same scale as my arm pieces and boot.

The thigh will be out shortly. Then I will finish the cod.
As for a brace, I'm not sure it's needed. And as of right now there are no plans for creating a neck or ha. D files. Tho this may change in the future.
And if anyone wants to create pdf files, go right ahead. :) post links and I'll add em to the front page.

The boot measures 11.9" from heel to toe at the default scale. I'm guessing a US size 11 or 12. But I haven't built it yet.

The suit is okay I guess, but it would be better if it had the pre-enhancile tech inside of it so it could attach to me automatically.

All kidding aside, this suit looks fantastic! Nice work! This is definitely the suit I'll be doing after the Mark III is complete!

hi guys and girls just a quick message to say one these suits you are making are amazing and two i have a few questions on card board building , wich card do i buy and basically how do i go about it im a massive iron man fan as you can see in my name lol and also would love to have this suit on display or even to wear would love some help and would appreciate it so much thanks guys

Thanks guys. I will reorganize this thread and get all the new links in the first post. But I'm usually on my phone. So that really tough. Anyways, just thought I'd share the latest progress pic. The thighs are aaalllllllmost done! Haha.
