head cast question need some input.

Hey there everyone o I have a question and i'm not sure if there is an answer to but here goes. I have a Cast of my GF's but while I was casting her face I ended up tearing the back of it really bad so I could only recover the face. I wanted to know if there is any way to turn a half cast into a full head cast. I was thinking about filling the back half with spray foam and then coating it with ultracal and sculpting that into the shape of the back but i'm not sure if that would be the best way to accomplish this.
Here is a photo of the head cast as it is right now:

Thank you all for taking the time to read this and possibly helping me out with this :)

Since I didn't get a response in time I have decided to go ahead and do it the way that makes the most sense to me and here is my progress thus far :)
IMG_20141125_142958_zpstqg0gtz0.jpggetting ready to fill the back with foam
IMG_20141125_143331_zps3zrptu6e.jpgonce filled with foam I waited for it to cure all the way
IMG_20141125_172603_zpsuxn7wt7z.jpgI started carving away at the foam only to find it hadn't yet fully cured
IMG_20141126_133740_zpsibyjvilf.jpgonce it had fully cured I started to carve away the majority of the foam to make the new back half
IMG_20141126_175235_zpsbzqvhilf.jpgand here it is all carved out and ready for some ultracal :)

Great way to think out of the box. My one recommendation would be to take measurements of your model and try to get as close to those when your putting on the plaster. Are you then planning on making a master negative mold of the completed piece or sculpting right on it? I would be concerned fi your intent is to bake the mold for foam latex as I do not know what fumes the inner foam may give off and how stable it would be in an oven.

I am planing on sculpting right on this cast, but do you thing making a master would be a better idea? I was planing on using gelatin on it this time but wanted to also use it for foam at some point, or is that not a good idea? I am in the processes of carving out all the inner foam and then pouring in some more ultracal to coat it all and make the walls a little thicker since I figured this foam would not smell all that great and possibly kill me if I did bake it. Also thank you for the response :)

Looks good.

As for the molds for gelatin and foam what you can always do is make smaller versions for the individual piece molds right from this one. Use alginate to make a section mold then cast that mold with Ultrcal 30 and there you have smaller versions for each piece.

Nice Churchwarden pipe you have there. I have been thinking of getting one myself :D
