You have your mission, go forth and bring backth some pics.

I've been trying to track down a copy of PowerDVD, since VLC is nearly impossible to freeze frame correctly. Once I get a copy, I'll go through and make captures. The other issue I have is having an NTSC source, so most of the frames are tweeners.

Edited to add: looking at Serafino's pics, I don't know that there's much more detail to extract from the HD copy.

If you have the correct codecs try KMplayer free and does a great job with screen captures...

wish to god there was an easy way to cap the damn things, i wish i could see somethin... post it, you see what i see... discuss... :lol

i tried DLing that KMplayer exo, but it said that it was an incomplete file apon trying to install. :(

ive tried snagit, qickscreenshotmaker, ive tried just hitting printscreen... and a ton of other things i dont even care to remember... everything had the same result, it would capture everything except the frame in the media player. :angry

Yeah, on Windows software is not permitted to take screenshots from when MoviePlayer, Quicktime, DVD players etc.. are playing. A way out is to use VLC or MPlayer. MPlayer allows you to go ahead one frame at a time.

Here is a HD pic of Obi-Wan's saber on the floor after the duel. However, the shot was taken right before we get to see the emitter. :(
I have not seen any better pics of the saber on that site, either.

I'll send you a PM later tonight after I get some things taken care of, that should solve your problems...

Even still, its a start and not that bad of a shot. The clamp certainly has a nice shiny chromeness, to the matte grey transistors....Thanks.

...and it shows what look very much like the lines on the clamp.

Definitely lines, and it appears to be lettering as well.

Well, your larger picture is just showing a blur of the holes in the clamp. Did you cap those?
[/b]

Yeah. The HD copy I have is NTSC, so capping is mostly an exercise in frustration.
