Just looking through the Vader helmets for sale on ebay (below link), this seems too good to be true anyone had any dealings with this DK: links to live auctions not permitted. (apoligies D.K .Any one interested in seeing the ebay listing please pm me)

Thats more like $100.00 isnt it? And another $100.00 for shipping or am I reading that little squiggly line wrong.

If your looking to do alot of work on a display peice then it might be a deal. Since its made of "casting resin" with fiberglass, you drop it or even possibly bump it hard, its not gonna survive. No idea why someone would use basic resin for something like that and list it as wearable.

Again,
someone correct me on the price.

There are folks on this board who can name that helmet pretty good. My skills are limited in this area, but it looks like a Don Post recast. I see a bit of neck flare and cheek droop. It's a rough piece and yes, it will require a good paintjob. If you want to sink some work into it, then it would probably be a good display piece. The helmet mount may need a little work as the helmet just does not look right on the painted piece. I would like to see the helmet on the unfinished version to get an accurate look at the finished cast. I don't know this seller at all. His feedback isn't that good. Lot's negatives and neutrals with poor ratings on both. He could be recasting a lot of stuff. I would steer clear personally.

You should also always consider the location of the shipper. I'm not suggesting international sales are scams (I've purchased many props internationally, though usual from England) - merely that there may be significant shipping/customs delays with packages arriving from Asia, etc. Once you factor in the possible delay, the quality of the kit, the seller's feedback, etc., it would seem there're superior alternatives locally.
