Has anyone ever made resin copy of the Highlander sword?

Connor's or Duncan's? Since the official Marto ones are becoming rare (as well as being very expensive for a cheap non-useable wallhanger) I have wondered if anyone has tried this, either to have a more accurate one, since the Official Marto handle is way off, or to place on a carbon steel blade.

I just bought a conner handle from someone here online... its nice but i am going to re do one from the ground up... the one i got was almost 2 full inches short than the original one... and its no where near as detailed, tommorrow i am going to a friends, a 'master' molder and were gonna hammer out a new handle... i want to start with the conner, then move to the duncan... ill post things as i go...

Since I did not get in touch with anyone at the time I made this thread. And I have recently rekindled my interest in Highlander swords again. I was just about to start a new thread until I just remembered "Hey wait, I made one like a year ago..."

Here's my Marto Connor. I got it not too long after they released them after an incredible long wait it seemed. It did not match the 1st advertised images released which were of the 1st movie sword. I always thought it resembled the 3rd movie more. When I received mine back in the 90's, it came in the red scabbard instead of the advertised black. A mistake but one I was happy with since Ramírez used a scarlet scabbard when he had it. I personally think it looks better with the red.

I wish someone would post better screen caps of the sword hilt from the movie, preferably HD screen grabs from a Blu-Ray, because the screenshot above is not detailed enough for me to be able to spot the inaccuracies. :unsure

Also, as much as I like the swords used by Duncan and Connor, my favorite Highlander sword is the black-handled beauty used by Mario Van Peebles as "Kane" in Highlander 3! I love the jet-black gargoyle hilt with the ruby eyes! I REALLY want that sword, but Marto stopped making them long ago.

I believe the main inaccuracies would be the scales & the head. They are different from all three movies as well as the official Marto swords. I used to have pics of the actual swords, I'll try to find them. The main handle carvings are from another Marto sword that the filmmakers used as a base so I believe that part is consistent through them all. If I remember correctly, they added the dragon head & tail to make it stand out more on screen.

Fortunately a recent auction of the sword used in the first movie has given fans a few good pics.

OK, this is SERIOUSLY ticking me off! I know that Marto stopped making Kane's katana from Highlander 3 probably 10 years ago. But still, you'd think you could at least find pictures of it online. But that's where you'd be wrong! I did a Google Image search for "highlander 3 katana" and found NOTHING.

Wrong one, Djinn. I want KANE'S (the villain's) katana, with the BLACK handle.

Looks like "Hitogiri" is making the only version available now, I JUST found a couple pictures he posted online of his version of the hilt. Unfortunately, they're not particularly GOOD pictures, but they're the only pictures I can find of Kane's sword AT ALL:

On the website in question, he describes it having a "blood red stone on it's forehead", but the pictures are of such poor quality that you can't even make out the stone. I seem to remember it having red stones set into the eyes, but it's been so many years since the Marto version was available in stores, that my mind may be playing tricks on me. :unsure

I also remember the Marto version having a rather large blood groove (or "fuller", as they're sometimes called) on it, as well, a feature that is rather unusual on a katana. Not too many seem to have had blades with blood grooves.
