Has Anyone done an ESB-style Reveal Vader?

The first time we ever get a glimpse of the internal workings of Vader's helmet is in the meditation chamber in Empire, which obviously separates differently than the full reveal in Jedi.
Based on the Visual Dictionary picture, in which you can see part of the mask interior, it seem there was an entire reveal helmet made for this scene, and i've been wondering if anyone has done a Reveal helmet in this style.

I don't know how long this board keeps posts...but this goes back maybe three or four years. Might even be longer...but there was a thread regarding. There was someone who was going to cut up a DP Deluxe or CKing to make one. I do not remember at what stage it was or if it was ever completed.

I'd have to look when it's a decent hour, but I belive some of the pics may be on the Vader CD.

now i'm wondering about the original ESB reveal helmet. what happened to it? what with it being the only time on-screen we get a look inside the mask makes it very intriguing.

I know there have been a couple of 1:6th versions made by customizers but I've never seen a 1:1 replica. Not yet anyway.

It's possible that with a little rework that the bottom piece was re-used for the RotJ reveal.

I agree with Carsten, I think it's entirely possible that it was re-purposed/re-worked into the Jedi reveal. I'd love to see the ESB version done at some point. I don't think that there is enough photo reference currently available to nail down the finer internal details but the overall structure wouldn't be a problem.

I've never seen an accurate one. The basis for accuracy would have to use a TM template as all the other casts would still retain those indifferences. Not a massively hard thing to do but fiddly and reference in high res for all the frontal shots although present is sparce. I have no interest in doing one but I'd like to see someone tackle the project.

Being a huge fan of the ROTJ reveal, I would love to see this one tackled..... I had completely forgotten about the ESB reveal until someone mentioned it a while back. In fact IIRC it was Carsten that mentioned it to me when I bought up the ROTJ reveal wasn't it?

Possibly. I keep trying to get someone else to do it... before I crack down and do it myself. Just don't have the money to get the parts.

I'm collecting all the parts to do both ESB and ROTJ but it will be sometime before I can sit down with it. Sskunky is correct. :lol

Paul I could almost swear you were going to do one at some point??

I thought about it for 5 minutes and then deemed the look too ugly. To do it right IMO you have to also put that armor of the neck and it's not a good look...
