I have a few projects in the works, but really would love to have an HL-10. Show me some accurate drawings, we have a new toy at the shop which would beg for this...a vac former, can also offer some laser cutting service for the bulkheads, I hope this projects goes through

Here are the drawings that are on the NASA graphics website. They are not accurate at all which is disturbing. Each one looks to be a little off. When I have time I'll compare them to photos and see how accurate they are.

EDIT: Just as I suspected they are all off a little but not too badly.

Yes, they are 3 different documents but I can separate them anyway you prefer. Let me know specifically what you need.

Well, things are looking up!! I have dug out some old material and it now seems that a very accurate model is possible. With the help of some friends and extremely talented craftsmen this project might become a reality. Here are a few more photos to keep the dream alive!

I wish Edwards was closer to me - if so I'd take some pics. But its about two to three hours up the road, and in an area I just don't frequent.

I have a friend that works at Edwards taking pics today.
I spoke to him last night and relayed the specifics of what Feek wanted.
let's see how he does.
It is overcast today so they may look horrible or might not get taken.
I'll let you know tonight after work.

Well, the one thing that I like is the Revell re-release of the classic Monogram NB-52 with X-15A-2 is due out this April. Price will be about $60 retail. As such, my own manned craft launched by the B-52 project can move forward (I may stick the X-34 in if I do it as a lifting body collection and leave the X-15 out).

Awesome!!!! Thanks Nathan

Every so often I come upon a thread in one forum or another about a topic I know nothing about and find it so fascinating that I just can't stop reading. Thanks so much for this, especially to feek.

Glad you enjoyed it!!

Rob I think the NB-52 & X-15 kit is the 1/72 scale version.

Here's one of the pics my friend took.
It has been scaled down considerably. It was over 5MB

I haven't seen the rest because My computer at home was taking forever to open it. There are about 30 pics I think
I'm forwarding the whole lot over to Feek via email so i don't have to deal with it LOL
