Harry Potter: Hogwarts Textbooks

We totally stole this thread from ffg. And we are drifting away from Hogwarts Textbooks. Maybe we should make a new thread called "HinkyPunks Horrifyingly Pretty Harry Potter Handi-craft Presentations"

That's a mouthful, we're gonna need more memory for that.:lol

I´ll have to do the "Advance Potion Making" book to display along with this cauldron...

Cristobal, where did you find that cauldron? Very unique looking!
Hinkypunk, I made up my own Lockhart test (just questions in Word). If you'd like to see them for ideas...it was really hard to come up with 54 questions on Lockhart. I'd love to have one of yours that looks like the real screen prop if you do one. :)
I'm going to try to get to my local Michael's today to find potion bottles too!

I've got a few of the hogsmeade bottle labels almost finished, but I cant read some of the tiny text. If anyone can figure out what the bottom of the ocky rot reads, id like to add it to this label. mostly because i can read one part.. and that part is "HOUSE ELVES"!!! and i wanna know what it really says

My best guess for the writing is

All our ****** have been hand picked and pressed
by the ****** hands of our best
house elves

PM me if you want a flattened label for reference, I was able to "unroll" the label off the bottle (The lines in the background are actually straight)

Hope this helps

@Hinkypunk: I think what the ocky rot bottle says is this

alcohol 17% by volume

All our berry have been hand picked and pressed
by the working hands of our best
house elves

I also was the one that asked you for the rest of the lockhart test if you have the time after the bottles and the sign photo

Keep it up :)

I know how it is!!! I just fell asleep doing the Lockhart signed photo. I somehow made a text layer and managed to put about 600 x's and c's on my document.

I also decided that we are either gonna have to use a low-res crappy pic, a hi-res nice pic of gilderoy NOT on a broom, or a clear small picture. I tried getting some screen grabs but with him moving in the photo, i cant get anything pretty.

Also, im glad you did the fire whiskey one bruce because my freehand skills are nill, and I couldnt get the hand and fire right for the life of me.

No problem. This is fun stuff, although it keeps me from my real work!

As for the freehand stuff I have an advantage - a 21" Cintiq. Makes it very easy to trace things.

Get some sleep!

@Hinkypunk : I get this photo quite hires... not much , but maybe it will work...I printed it and looks great!

Do not remember where I get them... original one was the displayed one , I just photoshopped it to make it printabe.
Hope you like it.

Made two versions. The one with the gradient gives it the shimmering ink effect, so far I like how that one printed much better. The other is just gray "ink"
