Well I've asked these questions, about these blaster before, but since it was always in one thread, I never really got a clear answer (or any answer in some cases) , so I'm braking them up into more then one thread this time.

For the magic of myth (MOM) is the gun and most of the greablies, and scope month, supposed to be black? (except for the flash suppresser obviously)

Thanks
Jason

I know they painted the grips black to cover up the plastic grips on the replicas they used for ROTJ.

Actually that's not entirely true.
Only one Hero MGC blaster has black grips, the other MGC is original brown.
The firing Mauser Hero had checkered wood grips.

The MGC guns and parts are painted black, but the parts are made in black anyway (delrin, rubber, blued).

The suppressors were made in black and painted silver.

For this sort of thing I usualy use a gloss black, then go over it with Krylon satin clear coat. It drys fast, and smells good too.
