Han solo in Carbonite DVD cabinet!!!

So I have decided to make a Han solo in carbonite.... Wife's permission...check... I sweetened the deal by saying that I would make it into a DVD cabinet to make it functional!
Oh yeah! Got my molds from King Jawa!! Thanks for that! They came to Australia in about 2 weeks! Cabinet shell and back is built...photos to come!! Shelves are cut and border around Han is glued and screwed!!! Wooohoooooo!!!ninja:lol

This is amazing Bengalius42. I've always wanted to build this prop but didn't because it would just be one more thing in the way taken up space. So after seeing this post i thought wow what a great idea and a great way to use the space. A couple of days ago my wife tells me that we have to find some where for all of my dvds to go. So I showed her this post and she said that we have to build one these for the game-room. I was stunned, My wife wants to help me build a STAR-WARS prop. My head almost exploded. So now it looks like I am in need of some parts to get started on one of these. Can you tell me where i can buy the parts to make one of your han solo dvd cabinets?

ironkamakaze I got my moulds from kingjawa! The rest I built myself using an old door for the front and scratch built the cabinet out of mdf. I still need to adjust the hinges however as they are not quite right! The door is very heavy! I used wood glue to simulate the carbonite! hope this helps you!
