*** Small update ***

Packing material made it home along with shipping boxes last thursday.

I'm waiting for the new batch of brushed handles for the paid orders, that should be here next week.

And finally, esterday at 16h45, 1 week early, we had our first baby girl so I'm still at the hospital waiting to be released.

Just thought I'd drop an update for the guys who paid for their HIC parts.

As usual, if you are not confortable with the delay, PM me and I'll be happy to refund until I have more sets available! :)

Thanks .. At this point, I really like having a girl .. Damn do you feel protective for this little thing! I can't imagine when she's gonna hit 13-15 years old! ;-)

I should have my leave this morning, back to the house but officially on "vacation" for a few weeks! Which means (some) time for everything prop related!

Finally home! I had one package ready to ship to fippolito, it left yesterday in the mail!

The other guys waiting on these, now that I'm back home, with time on my hands, I'll produce another mold for the greeblies to compensate for those that comes back multiple times in the set. Then, by the time I casted a lot of these parts, the handles will be here and boxes will go out fast!

I also realized I had only one set of brushed handle left, I placed a huge order about a week ago to replenish my stock, it will be here in a few days. I'll be casting in the meantime!!!

Good news people!

All handles are in .. I had a bunch of 40 handles made .. so I should cover a lot of orders. It might be the last time I get these made too. I'll see how fast the greeblies packages go out now!

So in the next days, I will try to cast and ship the paid packages so watch this thread and your email! I always update upon shipping with tracking and pictures!
 
*** UPDATE ***

Finally had time to work in the garage .. trimming a full set of the new parts for myself. The goal is to take some parts of that set, mic it with the originals and do a complete molds with 6x d-rings, 6x empty cups and 4x cups.

Those 16 parts are what is taking so long as they haven't been so gentle on me from my other mold. I can only use 1 of each which makes casting sets way too fricking long and I would spend too much time for no gain at all in the shop. That's why I also stop taking money from people, there's only 3 people that have fully paid right now and I thank you for your patience on these.

That's a lot of parts and I wanna make sure you don't have hours of trimming ahead!

So the set below took me about 2 hours to trim .. For the d-rings, I strongly suggest you take your time doing them, put a 60 grit sand paper flat on your workbench and rub the parts until you come really close to the edge then continue with 120 grit until the middle becomes really thin. That means you have removed enough material, take a jeweler's file and remove the center and trim the D shape slowly.

For the cups, I used a dremel to remove the excess material and finished with a 120 flat on the table.

For the empty cups, use the dremel from under to remove the bottom all the way to the edge line .. then trim the excess and finish with a paper on the parts directly. Be very careful, these cups are quite thin!!!

Finally, my mold is done for all the big parts that are duplicated!! No more need to cast 6 times to do a set.

You've been added to the list although I don't cast anything for now. I have 0 time and the little that I have, I'm working on my own build that I've been putting aside for way too long! When it's time to do new molds and cast again, I will update.

NOTE that I have 3 people from my machined parts run that are also waiting on these. Those will be my priority when I get back to casting! Then, order of interest when I have complete sets in hands!

Yeah , I know, it's been a while .. I still come here often mostly when I'm at work (lol), just don't cast often as it takes more time and energy!

I have a pile of greeblies cast and ready, but no sets completed. Also, I have molds that died and are useless to give perfect cast, so that got stacked on my todo list.

I know lots of you wanted those greeblies, good news is, hollidays start for me in 3 days. From there, I plan to redo some molds, so that I'm at least able to cast when I have time.

I received my acrylics and it got cut, I have 10 more sets now. So basically, when I'm back on this, I will have about 7 sets available including leds too. From there, I'll see where this is going...
