Han in Carbonite - gathering research

Hi everyone

I've been thinking about attempting my own HIC build for a while, while I have very little experience of making things, I think if I take my time I should be ok.

Before I get started I obviously want to do a bit of research to figure out what I need, how much it might all cost etc. I have started searching threads on here and have already gained quite a lot of really helpful information, but I was wondering the following:

  • Is there a reference website that anyone is aware of which details required parts/dimensions etc? If I can save myself a bit of time instead of opening up hundreds of tabs on here then that would be handy ha!
  • Can someone point me in the direction of who or where I might be able to buy Han's cast from? I've seen both hard and rubber versions, which is better?
  • I'm in the UK, so to save on shipping costs for parts if anyone could point me in the direction of any UK folks/companies that provide specific items then that would be great. I'm going to budget to include US shipping costs but any financial savings right now would be handy.
If anyone here who has made their own HiC sees this and can offer any initial advice or tips before I start that would be most appreciated.

I'll be sure to post my progress once I get started!

Thanks

Actually, this may be in your best interest. Doing the search and spending some time reading will probably set you up best for your project. Good luck!
