Limited Run Han ESB Hoth Blaster Flash Supressor RUN CLOSED PRODUCTION BEGUN

Hello everyone,

I want to do a small run of Han ESB Hoth flash supressors.

The flash suppressors will be machined from 6061 aluminum.
They will have no knurling on them (you'll have to draw it on as per the original).
They will feature the little lip that has been left off of a lot of other replicas.
They will be bead blasted to match the matt texture of the original.

I'll leave this sign up list open for 2 weeks. Then I'll place the order.

I am aware that you asked for keeping discussion to a minimum, but I hope you don´t mind a comment anyway...

The width of the raised as well as the recessed area should be revised IMHO. The "step" between the cylindrical and the tapered section is a bit too prominent (based on examining the few pictures of the screenused Hoth blaster as displayed in the japanese exhibition)!?

Here is the picture I am referring to...could you do an overlay with your 3D model please?
Here is a quick comparsion of the real deal vs. your model to visualize the differences.

I'm going to make some small changes the the spacing on the back. And maybe shorten the lip ever so slightly. But, the problem with going off of the pics from the Tokyo exhibit is, first off all the ones that have been posted are pretty low res. Secondly they're shot really close causing a lot of lens distortion.

BUT we are the RPF and "fine" is not our goal, we want it close to perfect...right Dan?! :cool

At least that´s what we expect based on Dan´s latest offerings :thumbsup
