Not a huge update, but I got the shape of the grip started today.

It will look better once I get some primer on it.

The laser I use have a focusing lens. Meaning that the material has to be an exact distance in order to have the proper intensity. I have easily cut things up to half an inch thick. Usually anything thicker than that will be too out of focuto get all the way through.

I got some work done on the grip today. It may not look like much, but It took forever.

I'll be able to shape the bondo in the morning, and hopefully this part will almost be done.

This morning I got the grip sanded, and covered it with spot filler. I let it dry most of the day.

While that was drying I cut out the top part, and put it together and shaped it.

Then I sanded and primed the grip.

Then I put it all together, to see how it all looked.

I am pretty pleased with the results.

It's been a while, but I have an update.

I got the grip pretty much done.

I also made some progress on the ammo counter.

Thank you. It is the most accurate AR out there that I know of.

I am very pleased to say that this gun is ready for the mold process.

I ordered all of the mold materials, and should have it done Next week.
The only parts left to make are the trigger, barrel, and the cocking handle. All of which I can do pretty quickly while the mold cures.
