Halo 4: Reviews and Opinions of the Game

they always seemed longer. For 50.00 the thing should take 80 hours.

It's always been about the multiplayer.

Doesn't feel like Halo anymore to me. Some of the new enemies seem to have no weakness. Very frustrating and not fun at all. 343 has given us "Call of Halo". If I wanted COD I would buy COD.

Tuesday, November 13th. :thumbsup

My friend has been won over by this game even though she was skeptical but she's more about the co-op play than anything.

As for the Chief's armor thing she says she upgraded the firmware which I think means the HUD. There's no way she could have changed all the external components of the suit.

Idk had to change some how. Nano-tech in the suit could of changed it all. Would have been blah to just have the same armor from H3, change is always needed. I think it looks killer

In the novel Halo: Glasslands it mentions that the in the novel, Naomi, has nano-tech in her suit, and it upgrades while she is in cryo... So I am guessing that, combined with Cortana and her exposure to forerunner tech made it able to upgrade into a new suit design.

She mentions at one point seeing the Infinity's specs during its prototype stage, so it's possible that she also saw the MJOLNIR Gen 2 prototype schematics and based the suit's new design off of that...

So my buddy and I were trying to figure this out last night...if you're going to do the co op mode, both players need gold accounts?

That seems pretty shady that they're going to do that if they're taking out firefight.

That's microsoft for you, you need a gold account to do anything like that in most games. I know Dead SPace 3's co op requires you both to have them.

I beat it today...

TBH, I didn't have high hopes getting into the game. I wasn't even going to get it until I watched the Forward Until Dawn videos that got me pumped for the game. Others have said what my own thoughts are... but I'll recap ;-) .

The opening scene is INCREDIBLE. Those graphics blew me away, I couldn't even realize it was CG for a few minutes, they were that good.

Story-wise, it's a lot deeper. It has multiple tangents, with Cortana's rampancy subplot, the politics involving the USC Infinity, the main enemy, etc. There were things let up for explanation, especially concerning the scene with the Librarian, but that may be by design.

Graphics definitely improved, and I liked the new weapons. I hate those flying things though, drove me nuts!

The soundtrack was fantastic, I bought it soon after finishing the game. I loved the new gun sounds... everything sounded more realistic.

The ending was poignant and powerful. The multiplayer has been great so far.

Halo 2 has always been my favorite game of the series (Halo: Reach was awesome as well). I thought Halo 3 was a sore disappointment, to me, this was a breath of fresh air.

*saw the ending from legendary mode*

Not a single original bone in it's body. But I will give that secret ending this. At least it wasn't a Getty image.

Don't tell me what the secret ending is... Just one question... Do you have to sit through the whole credits?

Finished the game and went back to collect all the Terminals. To be honest I think those Terminal videos got me liking the game a whole lot more. They gave so much more info and really tied everything together.

Where do you access the Terminal videos? Is it the episodes in Multiplayer?

I finally got it this week. It's not to bad. I do want to shoot the captain of the infinity. They certainly have lived up to Bungie's standards as this beats the hell out of Reach. I'm nearly done but have to go back for the hidden terminals. The cut scenes look amazing and i can only imagine what they'd look like on blueray.

Got an email today from Xbox Live, apparantly I and select other players were chosen to receive 6 specializations for online and spartan ops. Pretty cool actually.

I have only played the multiplayer and I am addicted. Best Halo yet. 343 did an amazing job taking this over. Big kudos to them.

The only Halo game I played the hell out of online was Halo 2. When Halo 3, Reach and ODST came out, I beat the single player game and shelved em. I kinda lost interest in the online modes of games like Halo and COD after playing BF3 because there's no strategy or teamwork involved but I've been playing Halo 4 online and been having a blast.
