Halo 4: Reviews and Opinions of the Game

Bought it day one and have gone through on Heroic twice. Once with my brother and the other with a friend. Working on solo Legendary now. This game is what I expect Halo to be. The story was much deeper, the characters had actual emotions, and I for once gave a damn about John outside of the novels. 343 has certainly won me over. The MP is pretty damn good as well. I only play Infinity Slayer, but I like it. 23 more assassinations until Venator armor baby!

The only Halo game I played the hell out of online was Halo 2. When Halo 3, Reach and ODST came out, I beat the single player game and shelved em. I kinda lost interest in the online modes of games like Halo and COD after playing BF3 because there's no strategy or teamwork involved but I've been playing Halo 4 online and been having a blast.

I've been playing Spartan Ops and love it. Mind you i play solo but teamed up with the weekly Infinity Episodes it really feels like you're part of a tv show. My friend gives me hell for playing on easy for the first playthrus. They're making John of the novels and games one and the same I think. They for sure won over even diehard fans.

I for one love how this game is developing, Spartan OPS is incredible, and the Campaign is still beastly. IMO

10 out 10, 343i is definitely taking the Halo series to new heights, I just hope the rest of the trilogy will get better and better. :thumbsup

I got this for Christmas, and I was pretty skeptical going into it, but it has definitely exceeded my expectations by far. I have only played a couple Campaign missions, but it's way better than Reach's campaign, and like someone else said the opening video or whatever it's called was amazing. I was pretty dissappointed that they removed Firefight, but I like Spartan Ops more (even though a few things about it aren't perfect, nothing that matters though).

As for War Games (love the name :lol), I absolutely love the new scoring system! So much funner when the medals aren't just for show/commendations, but I do think they kind of went overboard on them (you get a medal for just about anything you do :unsure). The only complaint I have is that there are so few playlists compared to Reach, but Dominion is an awesome addition. I miss playing games like Headhunter and King of the Hill, basically I miss the playlist Multi-Team where it was 4 teams of 3 where you could choose from a bunch of different game types.

Overall I absolutely love the game and would give it a 9/10 (would've been 10, but there a few other small things that bug me).

Halo 2 has always been my favorite game of the series (Halo: Reach was awesome as well). I thought Halo 3 was a sore disappointment, to me, this was a breath of fresh air.

i totally agree.....Halo 2 has always been my favorite..Reach was good...it had its moments...it was better than Halo 3.....Halo 3 was just awful....so repetitive and boring


Halo 4...I actually liked it....it was fun and challenging...i think the only thing that really annoyed me is they mentioned going back to earth which i been hoping for....well i kept wondering what is taking so long to get back to earth....then yeah...so that was my big disappointment
