HalloweenCostumes.com “Back to the Future Hoverboard”

Just got in my hoverboard decal and strap set from @Vormz

Finished the board off unless I decide to do the bottom which when I display won't be seen so prolly will hold off. When it's all said and done I dropped right about $100, not bad at all. I'm not really wanting to buy the battery box and connectors or wanna deal with tryna apply lenticular to the bottom haha. I did apply vormz brushed metal magnet stickers and it looks 100% better than the stock grey paint.

So here's my Halloween Costumes Hoverboard that I modified....
Peeled the faux lenticular stickers off
Put real lenticular on.
Put Green Velcro on top
Put Green vinyl tape on the bottom
Got the resin magnets and battery pack off ebay (sorry, couldn't wait any longer)
Painted the magnet holders "colonial red" and the battery pack "grape"
Printed out and put the "MATTEL" stickers on
Painted the screws black for the bottom.

I'm quite happy with the way it turned out.
The only thing I didn't do was put on the furry pink foot strap, but I like how it turned out and as a complete novice when it comes to making replica props, I think I did a pretty damn good job.
I bought the 1985 and the 2015 license plates off of ebay as well as the Gray's Sports Almanac with receipt that I will soon be putting all on display.

That looks great! Did you have to modify the bottom of the board at all for the hoverpads and magnet to fit?

Cool, much better with the stickers over the hoverpads!

I had to sand down a little ridge that was there and then I had to make new screw holes for the hoverpads since they did not match up. All screw holes were covered up by the lenticular paper anyway. When I removed the original hoverpads there were 2 circular ridges for them. I didn't sand those down, but rather used those to help me place the new ones I got. They are not exactly on there but not noticeable enough.

Great work! I wanted to try and do the same to my HC board. I was debating that, or just attaching a battery to the bottom.

Very nice. Make sure to paint the magnets in dark grey and not straight up black. If you are looking for an accurate battery box colour, try Testors panther pink.

Got mine today too. Pretty pleased with the board, especially the weight as the one I owned originally was solid wood & too heavy. I'm also glad the foot pad turns! :D My only gripe is that there's no handle bar hole.

Probably upgrade the stickers with lenticular sheets & green velcro at some point and adding a battery box!

It gives you a few options on the website to pay up front for customs I think, it wasn't much. I ended up paying $98 in total for the board shipped. Same with the light up shoes, I didn't pay any extras when they got to the UK.

I Live in the UK - I had to pay £25 in customes fee's - couldn't pay beforehand - got a letter through the post telling me where the package was being held, and ways that I could pay.
