HalloweenCostumes.com “Back to the Future Hoverboard”

what about the edges? Don't they come up?
the top of the board has enough decals and velcro to hide the glue for it to be held down good but the bottom of the board is starting to come up a little i dont really mind since its just going to be sitting in my room and ill be holding it at cons but Vormz used double sided tape for his board edges to stay down i might try that

I used an exacto knife to cut all the faux lenticular effect and will now use the lenticular paper I got from Sommers on those spaces. I've cut out a few pieces already and it looks perfect. Took me about an hour to peel those stickers off though. And that's just the top....

You can push that strap into the disc if you'd like to get it out of the way while working.

Got mine today. See pictures. The decals are NOT flat on mine. I only opened one of the two though, Took off the bottom parts to see what they look like. There is a slight ridge where the parts go, I assume for assembly alignment ease. These will easily sand off for the new parts to go on. Pretty excited.

Wow!!! The Matty boards have large domes under each magnet assembly, NOT a simple circular ridge that can be sanded off! So the actual injection molds were changed, at least on the bottom. Sorry if this has already been asked, but do these boards retain the recessed channels for the pink velcro up front on the top surface?

Just got my board!

The top seems fine, bottom has scuffs on the magnetic plates but will probably cover with the stickers offered on the forum. A few small wrinkles on the bottom sticker.

Overall happy for the price especially with the 20% first purchase promo code.

Time to start gathering materials to mod now!

For the couple of you guys that are prepping for the lenticular or already did it, u guys are exacto'ing off the parts of the stickers and then peeling off correct?

Are you using heat or any specific method?

That is what I was planning on doing too. Are you going to glue the lenticular directly over the pink plastic? I'd love to see some pics of how it looks so far. PM me here or on IG or Twitter FreddyTV

Yes, the pink velcro is set into depressions.

Yeah, I plan on gluing it directly on the plastic. I will either use a spray adhesive or double sided tape around the edges.

After slicing around what I wanted to peel off, I slowly peeled it off. If I wasn't careful or patient enough it would start to rip and then the white paper sticker would be left. I just would rub it with my finger to peel it off, but I didn't use any heat or anything although that probably would have made it easier.

Even with heat you can have some white paper left... very cheap stickers.

i wouldn't re-use these sticklers they're **** i plan on upgrading when i come into extra cash

For where you are at now on the pics you posted did you take the whole top sticker off then re-apply the areas like the "hover board" sticker?

It looks in some pics that the stock sticker parts are a higher layer than it would be if you cut around them like xxxOmniJPxxx.

it looks great man!

yeah i stripped the board laid lenticular then laid the decals back on, i only say to not reuse the stock decals because they're just not good quality, the laminate wrinkled, some pieces tore no matter how slow i peeled them off, it would have been so much easier, faster, and over all nicer if i would have just bought new decals.

Ladesigner on ebay is a very good, affordable and serious seller.
Not local but you have your order very quick.

I tried Roland's graphic but it doesn't seem to fit these new 2015 boards. The pink stripes on the decal do not line up with the recessed area in the plastic for the top velcro.

Would you mind telling me if Roland's graphics fit within the sticker-area width-wise?
