Ok, I'm done... bring on halloween. Still a bstardized hybrid gunbelt, but it'll work just fine for it's purpose. Looks better than what we started with.

Hey Dan,

Yes..Much better, Fits him perfect. And it still has a blaster sound, so he's thrilled!! Since it was a like 1am or something, I'm anxious to get home tonight so he can try on the rig. Mom and him called me this morning at work, and he could hardly get words out he was so excited.

I thought the Rubies blaster got a little annoying after he was running around non stop shooting it, but now with this new one.. the dang trooper blasts back and twice as loud. :lol

Who invented batteries again??

Danakin!

You were supposed to remover the batteries to 'save $ on shipping'! :lol

That's awesome! Is the new blaster a better fit for him?

So cute. I bet he was a hit! Did you get many comments?

There are so many store bought costumes at these Halloween things I don't think people appreciate what goes into our homemade ones... Really, this community is so unique. I'd love to take my kids to a RPF costume party!

An RPF costume party would be fun. I'll have to bring Jack in costume now to the next local Con.

Odd, but no real comments to speak of. One teacher asked if he was a cowboy, and when I said Han Solo.. looked at me odd. When Nick came walking along in the Chewy.. I could see the lightbulb go off.

A couple of the guys there with their families looked and bumped their elbows "nudge nudge" to thier wifes.. so I know they got it. But I had too be watching for it.

One dad did an Indy costume for his boy. Odd how it was just a hat, white turtle neck, khaki pants and a whip. Beat any store bought there.. and always funny how you can know right way "us folk"- We saw eye to eye with a nod to each other.. We noticed each other "just like that".. in the crowd. -the cool dads.

haha.

That's pretty much how it was with us at the mall. It was only a few people who would look and nudge the other adult with them, wearing huge smiles. There were at least three definite comments but for the most part people are dazed... no clue who they were or that the costumes were home made.

Yup. Oh well... I'm doing it for the kids.. not for everyone else. So, it's all good.

PS.. saw your LP link in your sig. Nice. Big LP fan here.

Nice job, Joe. Like the scaled blaster you got. That was one thing that bugged me about my son's costume. The size of his blaster.

But nice job, seriously.

Thanks.

Yeah, that little blaster is just perfect for this age size wise. Probably one of those things I didn't need to do, but glad I did.
