Halloween 2012. What is Everyone Working on?

Getting started on my first Indy costume. I had no idea how pricey the Indy hobby is! I've got a bunch of stuff from Todd's showing up today and a used jacket from an RPF member tomorrow. What's great about Indy is that I'll use it for Halloween this year AND Phoenix Comicon.

I'm making my 3 year old an Underdog costume (original cartoon version). I finished the cape and hope to finish the body in the next week. Then I have to figure out what to do for the head.

I got 2 costumes on deck for this Halloween, both using UD Replica suits - Dark Knight and Captain America TFA.

Dark Knight will be about 85% screen accurate, various modifications and accessories from coofunkcurly and GCFX to get it there. I'm done with this costume and it's ready to go, just waiting on a kapow7 grapple gun holster at this point. I'm a bit torn as to where to wear this costume. I want this to be my nightlife Halloween costume but the thought of a long (and expensive!) cape that could get ruined by all the spilled drinks on the ground and drunk people stepping on it does not sit well with me. I have some black safety pins I was going to use to hike up the cape. Definitely not bringing my Gordon Gekko grapple gun when out in a club or bar, probably will be carrying it for casual house parties and such.

TFA will be 95% screen accurate, again with various mods and accessories from other builders - Chris Fields, Finhead, JM Leather Studios, MacPherson Custom Leather. I'm still waiting on several pieces to come in, namely a few leather bits and most importantly my Chris Fields shield. I expect to be done with this costume by early October and will be trooping around in this at my office and the Disneyland Halloween Party :love I'll probably also default to my TFA suit when there's a party that I REALLY don't want to deal with having a long cape and cowl for. The TFA setup is more comfortable and I can take off my helmet w/o looking like a racoon.

I was thinking about starting a thread to show my mods but decided I'd rather wait until after Halloween when pics will be readily available.

I'm hoping to have my ATA Stormtrooper done and I'm working on a... uhm... Princess Darth Vader for my daughter. She came up with that on her own.

Kinda want to do a Jason bourne outfit with the red bag.. Kinda sick of the awkwardness of wearing an iron man suit made of resin or foam because it just covers almost every inch of your body.

Anyone know where I can get a brown sweater like that?

I just found out that my work is allowing us to dress up for Halloween. So I'm thinking about going as either Marty McFly or Quailman.

Currently working on Slender Man and Jason Voorhees both about halfway done Slendy costume needs a mask and Jason needs a machete and jacket.

Iron Man Mark VI

Upper body including lights and on/off switches complete... Need cod, thighs, shins, boots, and paint...

Trying my hand at Iron Man MK6 hope to have it finished by hallow's eve. It's my first pep foam costume so am taking things slow.

Hey everyone!

I am brand new here but not exactly new to the costume and prop thing (no idea why it took me so long to get here). However If didn't see any other Halloween 2012 posts around so I figured given most of these projects take a lot of time lots of people have been working for a while now to get new ones completed. Feel free to definitely post WIP suits, armor, and other costumes here!

My plans are to finish my Scout Trooper from Star Wars and complete my brothers TDKR Bane costume. He's a bodybuilder so he fits the role better than I do. Hopefully I'll Have pictures of these WIP up in the near future. Until then, post away about future ideas!
Would love to see the Scout Trooper when finished am a hugh Star Wars fan.

New member, working on Marty McFly's 50's-era cowboy outfit for Halloween. Like the picture, but I plan to wear it with a straw bowler/derby hat like the one Seamus McFly lends him for his walk to Hill Valley.

I don't do anything big enough at Halloween to justfy a huge project. The last time I made something complex, just to go to a party, I felt terribly overdressed. If only there was a masquerade or con in the area for the holiday...
These days I do something simple or reuse my most recent convention getup. This year, I'm going as Pam from Archer, because someone suggested it to me in the "I have boobs" thread. I have a dumpy blue skirt and ordered the dolphin puppet. Now I just have to pick out a black cardigan and a blonde wig. Easy and comfortable to party in.

I've decided to do Bane:

And Barnabas Collins, which I have everything but the necklace for:

I'm working on a Bane as well. Got in on the last bane pants run! Yay. Working on making my own mask.

I had a buddy last year put together a spot on outfit, beard, and hairpiece to be "The Most Interesting Man in the World." Haha, that was pretty damn funny...and you can imagine that it got a lot of attention. He might do that again, just making a few more adjustments and add improve some other minor details.

-Stay thirsty my friends-
