Half-Life 2: OSIPR2, or AR2 Pulse Rifle (Pic Heavy)

This thing totally rocks.

Also agreed, but the price point is just too high for me. Not sure what your molding and casting process will be, but if you did a simplified version down the road (like the majority of the body as one piece, rotocast in resin with a foam core) for a bit cheaper I could see myself getting involved in that.

I could make some of the hollow parts solid, but you would no longer be able to install electronics and what not.
As for foamcore, I could probably use it in the barrel assembly, and the stock, if I were to make it solid, but the main body if the gun is U shaped with lots of cavities.
Even if the entire model was static, it would still be a costly project. The Pulse rifle has a lot of parts hanging off the main body of the gun, such as the heat shields, heat sinks, the magazine and it's assemblies in particular, greeblies (albeit big ones) etc.
So if it were to become static, or quasi static, would $375-400 be more reasonable?

Sorry to kept everyone hanging, here are the finished pics of the OSIPR 2.

I want to apologize to everyone who wanted me to make kits of this. Unfortunately it wasn't economical considering how many parts and the complexity of molding them. Corridor Digital currently has the OSIPR, and it's too bad they don't do more videos showing it off.
Thanks for looking everyone.

Far out dude, too awesome!

I am in the process of making a "functional" AR2. So good to have some reference work to go off, especially of this quality

Did you end up doing a cosplay with this gun?
