Gutenberg Bible Project (Pics Added)

Fact of the matter is that I only ever got three people sending their sections back... :(

Let me sit down with this project and see if I can figure out a way to re-divide stuff so that we can accomplish something sooner. Close goals are more attainable than long ones! Maybe if I divide it up by books of the bible, we work to complete one, then move on to the next.

PMs will be on their way this week.

Dang... I actually forgot about this with all the stuff (losing my job, moving to a different city, etc) Lemme dig through the hard drive and get mine done.

Or maybe just have people pledge a number of pages? Like I figure I could do 10 given my schedule right now.

As I told you via PM a few months back, I'm down to help if this pops back up.

Alright guys, Let's break this down into manageable chunks and start with arguably the most famous book of the bible, Genesis. If we can complete Genesis then we can complete the whole Bible. It's just a matter of scale.

Genesis is 48 pages long in the Guttenberg.

SO! A PM will be going to people who have expressed interest in resurrecting this recently. You will be asked to pledge a number of pages and I will hold you to it. PLEASE do not join unless you will see this through.

sounds interesting,
i don't wish to join however i was looking around the web abit and found some things that might be useful for you guys:

highest quality GB scans i've found however they are a pain to use and can only be viewed using the flash viewer (display zoom image):
(1) Volume 1 - Upper Cover - Gutenberg Bible > Old Testament - Digital Archive - National Library of Scotland
second best quality GB scans, easy to view and download (select the book and choose 1 or 2 page viewing method):
Gutenberg digital
third best, also easy to scroll, just select the book:
Gutenberg Bible: Comparing the Texts

i hope this helps you even if a little, have a good time and goodluck!;)

Thanks. :)

The second link ( Gutenberg digital ) is the book we're using as our base. Although the pages SHOULD be the same in the other ones we should stick to that. Good for cross reference is anyone needs it. :thumbsup

So just to get this straight, you sign up, get a few pages assigned and type them in word in the font?
I'd like to help but I don't have a lot of time, so maybe a few pages, let me think about it first.
