Picked up one of the DC Direct rings today and it looks awesome, much better than I originally expected. Even though there isn't any hole in the back for light the sun is more than enough to illuminate it.

Looks great, I'll be uploading some pics by tomorrow for anyone who wants to see a few more.

I think people just want the possibility to modify it for light or at least put it on a cool lighted display.

See, you are just not thinking big picture. You can easily use a Dremel to put a hole through your finger and the back of your hand. Problem solved.

Honestly, I didn't know there was a hole in the original ring until another member mentioned it. The ring looks great even though its not there and it doesn't matter much because daylight is more than enough to make it look great.

Many people have said that the DC Direct ring is size 11. While I have not measured it, I know that it is bigger because of the way it fits me.

I think that the confusion is due to the fact that (s11) is stamped on the inside of the ring. I am pretty sure that this does not refer to the size though.

The GL movie t-shirt that I bought this weekend also has (s11) on the tag and it is an XL.

Not sure what (s11) refers to but I don't think it is size.

That's true. I mentioned it only because I know how obsessed this forum is with replicas being 100% screen accurate!

i think theres two swag/give out rings, theres the ones given to celebreties and the one thats been poping up on ebay like the one that was compared to both the tru and dcd rings earlier in this thread. the first ring with the clear light up case looks much better and accurate than the one in the black box with the led.

has anyone else noticed this and i just missed it, or is this a new find?
if its old news then whats the story for the ring thats in the black box?

my gripe about the ring is that, the TRU band looks way better than the dc direct but the logo on the dc direct ring was way better than the tru one
