You want to see Ryan Reynolds act, look up Definitely Maybe.

A little known romantic comedy I thought was outstanding, especially Ryan.

also chaos theory, and the nines, both good movies where he doesnt van wilder through his role....

i still think he would have been a better choice for the Flash

It's really unfair to judge this movie from his what, two or three one liners and 37 seconds of footage. I am very excited for this movie, and I feel the way they're handling it is really the only way it could be with the CG effects and costume.

I could definitely see him as Wally West...heck even Booster Gold if they put that character on the big screen.
Seems like he's had the misfortune to be typecast or if the role isn't written like Van Wilder, he plays it as such for all of his comedies.

I'll wait for the trailer and even the movie before giving a verdict. Looks okay not too keen on Reynolds playing in another comicbook movie.

Don't forget Ryan Reynolds was in the remake of "The Amityville Horror" and played the dad who lost his mind and wanted to kill his family. If I remember right, critics gave him good reviews. He was also in the "Blade" trilogy.

I personally like his movies. I think "Waiting" and "Van Wilder" are hilarious.
