HI I'm in the process of sculpting my best attempt at an Alex Ross Green Goblin mask. I then will cast it and make a mold to make a mask I can wear! I hope to god I'm doing everything in order, but here is my progress so far!

I need ANY tips n' tricks from you awesome folks if you all don't mind. :D

And, if any can help me locate yellow, rounded, bubble eye lens, please pm me!

Hi there everybody! I hope I haven't offended anyone here! No one has posted a response yet, so I thought I'd post some more pics of my progress to get things going!

I decided to start over and I'm happy with it so far. I would love to get some advice on how to get the clay smoother? But, I also would like to hear your opinions! Do you think his cheeks are too defined? Do you think I'm still on track with the Alex Ross version? Let me know!

I may try and move this to another category, for this is a bigger project than just this sculpt! I posted here for sculpting advice.

Thank you all for reading!

The eyebrows are just a place holders. I'm trying to focus on the lower half of the face right now.

I think it's very promising. There are lots of theads with comments on getting sculptures smooth. One technique is to use turpentine to smoot the surface, but it depends what kind of clay you're using. Is it sculpey? If you can't get sculpey smooth one thing you can do is bake it as is and then sand it smooth. That's a lot more work though.

Hi there, thanks for responding!
Yes this is sculpey. I hope I don't have to bake it, but if that's all I can do at the end of the day so be it!
By the way, your Doctor Who props are amazing!

I smooth sculpey with isopropanol, you should be able to smooth those large areas with your fingers though.
