Grand Theft Auto V - Official Gameplay Video

Be careful: Game files have leaked and people are spoiling the ending of the game. Watch out where you go until the release date if you don't want things to be wrecked for you!

No PC, it's already ruined for me...

Looks amazing though, first I even bothered to look at the game.

Still feel guilty that I didn't finish IV. I love these games, and love NYC too, it should have been perfect. Somehow I kept losing the thread of the plot, and wasn't sure which mission came where when it came to picking the game back up.

I know this may sound a bit ridiculous to most but games nowadays are getting so vast and detailed that its a bit overwhelming. Everything from the giant maps to the story lines. Especially GTA, where there is SO much to do and see.

LOVE IT :D and they still have the little details. Brilliant bullet holes on the cars... incredible animation system thanks to Euphoria. Hilarious random pedestrians and what not. Definitely not "just a game where you shoot hookers"(!)

Does anyone know of any places offering pre-order exclusives, or a collective list of them?

Seeing as i have just sold my Ps3 (putting the funds into my PS4 pot) i think i'm going to be reggreting that decision once GTA is released.

The online play looks amazing and its brilliant that rockstar won't be releasing the online mode until 2 weeks after its released.

I've been looking for the best pre-order offer too.

Gamestop has an exclusive edition here with some neat bonuses:
Grand Theft Auto V Pre Order | Buy GTA 5 | GameStop

The "special" edition is also available at Amazon but it's not a pre-order exclusive:
Amazon.com: Grand Theft Auto V (Special Edition): Playstation 3: Video Games

The Walmart pre-order exclusive is a keychain:

Otherwise, most of them just come with the standard bonus of the "Atomic Blimp" access code.

anyone playing this ?
Why do you think no one's posting here? Everyone's off playing the game?

How do the controls compare to GTA IV? Controls and camera, actually.
Honestly, it's been too long since I've played GTAIV to be able to make a comparison. I've heard the driving is tighter and less floaty than the last one (cars seem "snappier"). The controls seem fine, but I'd prefer it if they allowed full customization. Most of the problems I have come with what buttons they're making me press instead of the actual gameplay. For example, the Playstation's triggers are absolutely horrible for driving (gas/brake), and I'd much rather use the face buttons (which I'm pretty sure is how it was done in the last game). So guess which one is the ONLY option?

Controls are very similar, both on foot and on vehicle, maybe a bit easier with cars and such. I think there is a difference between GTA IV shooting system and this one though, not sure but I remember that in IV, pressing the trigger half way allowed to move the reticle freely, and full way was to lock on targets, here it seems to always lock on target. Might be just me though, my PS3 controllers are getting old !

i started paying it for a little bit....franklin's story is extremely boring....i cant wait to play the other characters

Apparently I made it through about 23% of the game yesterday, ha! Franklin's story seems so short for the time I played (yes, I had the day off; and, no I didn't plan it that way).

The car controls have shifted more towards realistic as compared to GTAIV. Takes a little bit of getting used to. I'm particularly fond of the Voltic, which is in the in-game version of the Tesla Roadster.

The map is pretty huge, and it's all open to begin with, which is nice. The switching between characters is definitely interesting. I never actually finished GTAIV either, it left me real bored about half way through, but I'm quite taken with this one.

Damn I wasn't fast enough. I tried to snag a PS3 or Xbox 360 copy of the special edition and all were unavailable online. bah!

Yeah, the Special Edition preorders were sold out pretty quickly. I tried to get my preorder in pretty late and all the big retailers (Gamestop, Amazon and Best Buy) were sold out. I managed to snag a copy on the Walmart site before they ran out too, but it got all banged up in the mail because they just dropped it into a flimsy bubble envelope. I hate not getting a minty mint copy of boxed games >_<
