I don't really dig shows like America's Got Talent, but this singer caught my eye...ears, actually. She's, unbelievably, just 10 years old. And sings like an angel from Heaven. Tonight, she should, if there's any justice in the world, win the show and the million dollar prize.

Check out her first four songs on the show:

Sadly i doubt she'd win, that would make a good college fund for her lol. The prize will go to some vapid twit who looks like a pop star.

I'm rooting for Fighting Gravity. I know it's not 'original' but neither is singing or magicians. They're a lot of fun and infinite possibilities exist for a Vegas show of that type.

Ya know...
Fighting gravity is not an original idea... ( I don't know why they seem to think so...) and their level of execution and refinement just isn't really there (as compared to the Japanese shows which this style of performance seemed to originate) Not to mention as a group, they're cool, but the individual members are not that strong...making the concept weaker as a whole.
I don't think they'll win. Or rather, I hope they don't.

Mike Grim. GREAT all around, nothing wrong with putting him on Vegas or otherwise... but I would RATHER see him in the world-arena.

Jackie Evanco. Assuming that as she grows she will retain her ability to sing... she is definitely a star (maybe even a prodigy).
I don't think they should let her win though. Winning would create yet another child star, robbed of her youth and sense of humility. She doesn't need to go to Vegas.

I may be in the minority... but I think that this guy, "Prince Poppycock" is absolutely PERFECT for Vegas. It's his concepts, it's his voice, it's his entire persona... he creates a visually striking and enjoyable SPECTACLE all out of his own mind.
The guy deserves a show, but I do think his final performance was weak. I voted for him to win.

Well that sucked! :thumbsdown :thumbsdown

But at least the second best performer won, and not that lameass Fighting Gravity or Prince Poppycock. Congrats to Michael Grimm. He is excellent.

Jackie Evancho, is beyond excellent. She is a once-in-a-generation talent. A prodigy.

I think she lost because of a misconception that the winner gets their own ongoing headline act in Vegas, and I think a lot of people didn't like the idea of this angelic little girl becoming a part of the Sin City scene. The fact is, the winner performs one show in Vegas, it is not an ongoing gig. I think had people known that they wouldn't have objected to Jackie doing just one show there. (In fact, if I'm not mistaken, she'll be going to Vegas regardless for a show as part of the AGT multi-city tour.)

The specialness of Jackie's voice was evidenced tonight when Sarah Brightman followed her in their duet. With all due respect to Ms. Brightman, her voice paled in comparison. Jackie has been blessed with a voice sui generis.
