Giger 1:1 Alien - - Big Pics Warning - -

Heres some quick pics of the new Giger 1:1

Got it from Propstore - Here`s a copy of their blurb....

An amazing full size replica cast of the formidable Alien from the original Ridley Scott movie of the same name. This huge cast comes from the original Giger sculptured moulds from the production, everything is 100% movie accurate. The only area not from the original moulds is the rib section and the version here was cast from an original movie used puppet. The body is made of fibreglass with a clear vac-formed dome for the skull like head of the alien. The creature comes on a display base which holds the monsters feet in place and allows it to stand over any admirer! The head includes the inner mouth piece that is seen jutting out at it’s prey in the film.

Its pictured next to my 8Th Passenger Alien.

I agree - It is VERY brown (not quite as brown as pics show but it is on the brown side in prson)- The paint job isnt up to the 8th Passenger but I did fork out for an upgraded paint job on that one

It came in a few parts.

Head - arms - tail

The tails which I`ll get pics of is very flexible - quite floppy:redface for a big guy.

I bought a couple things from propstore so I got a deal on shipping. A driver drove it up from down south up to Glasgow - The service from propstore is second to none.

I was asking in the HIVE if someone can post some pics ofthe original suit I`ll try take a similar angled piccie to check how similar it is... any pics appreciated :thumbsup

Looks to be the same elusive part used on the snowtrooper's ab plate.

I think they still have another...its not marked as sold out and they are pretty reliable with updating.

When I buy anything and look later in the day its always been marked as such.

Didn't know about the vagina thing..... makes it seem all the more creepier. The only thing that could get more creepy is if the tail tip resembled a big dang-a-lang.

I love how sexual the first movie terror is. The sexual metaphors are abound in that film. There is an excellent book out there that goes through all the strange symbolism through the films. Sexuality, Rape, motherhood, and reproduction are all powerful ideas explored in the alien series but the first is still the blatant and creepy use of these ideas.
