as always super cool, but im looking forward to the swords and back armour.

OK. Here's the thing. This whole week I've been in discussion with a Bunch of Cheap Ass investors who want to build a Haunted House.
So while I got low balled on the fee (and giving them a counter offer for my talents it seems that it may all not work out) I worked on these swords to take my mind off some things.

If I don't work on the damn Haunted House project you can be sure the next thing I work on will be those Alien tail swords, sheath and double chest armor.
You (and anyone else) tell me should I make the chest armor out of Resin or Latex? I got plenty of silicone for a mold making resin castings so no worries.

Ghoul Latex Boot Test Cast

My First Latex cast that's a boot size. The weather's been cold and wet and I ran out of patience. This wasn't as thick as I wanted but it came out pretty good.
The latex is a bit soft. I may either get another batch that's harder or just mix fiberglass to give it some stiffness. I'm gonna try that out on the next casting.

Well it all depends on the structure of the object. I will put small chopped up fibers on the second layer to see if it hold the shape to see if any distortions come out.
I've added FBG to flat strap like structures and it does make it stiff but causes little warpage to it. The fbg were chopped mat that i cut as a big shape and stuck into the latex to absorb it.
I think that if I just put tiny shavings like small hair fibers it will provide some sort of structural support.
So experimenting is involved.

Ghoul Hunter Thigh Armor Designs


Some designs inspired by the recent Clash of the Titans movie. I like the scorpion shield that Perseus used. A chitinous exoskeleton armor like a crustacean? Why Not?
As usual the drawings are for inspiration and the final sculpt will be totally different. These drawings provide the spirit essence of the design. The sculpt will be better hopefully

How much cabosil to latex? Oh I gotta try to find a supplier here.

Actually the Latex is thick enough, does cabosil make the latex stiffer and harder? Thats what I'm trying to achieve
