Just in time to toast over the fire on a cold winter's day!
We recently finished up a cool little display for a big head! The original plaster Mr. Stay Puft pyro head was sourced by the good folks at Prop Store - Ultimate Movie Collectables and our client picked this up from them. The guys at Prop Store's LA office did an amazing job packing and shipping this fragile piece to us!
When it arrived, we did some very minor repair and reinforcing and then set about to the fun stuff. We made him a cool temple themed base (trying to get the vibe of the film w/o directly "saying it") and then made a big old sailor hat for him. You know how those sailors can be in NY so we figured better get a hat on him and keep him respectable (Venkman can tell you all about it
). The hat isn't permanently attached to the head, so the prop maintains its outward original appearance with that removed.
The work was done by so many of the folks at the shop, including Patrick Louie, Maria Teran, Steve Abbananto, Melissa, myself and more... seems everyone had a hand in this at some point.
