Ghostbusters: Ghost trap and 1:1 Constainment unit

first off this is my new trap, made from Balsa wood and bass...one might think its fragile because of those materials but its not...dropped it on the street, it fell off my belt and not even a dent happened. the plates are laser cut, and the knobs are all real and accurate for a GB1 trap and the side bars (red) are machined. I added roller blade ball bearings for the wheels. and this thing zips! its great to play with...i will be adding more add-ons like the bolts on the plates, lights in the front indicator screen and the red blinking light on the battery box.

other traps in the making:

for the Containment unit I wanted something 1:1...including the brick back wall...the wall sconce lights and just wanted the feel of it being shut down like in the end of the film...this is what I go...

we lit it up and made it smoke for more "shut down" effect...this thing billows out smoke!! and its portable we take this to conventions with us as a background when my group and I have a booth.

My gosh that's some amazing work you have done there mate. I really want to do a GB1 outfit someday soon when I finish my other projects. So I admire your great work. But that containment unit is just off the wall AMAZING! Well done

the trap does not go into the unit...the lever on the unit does go up and down, the light square key pad does push and the "door lock" turns...but the door doesn't open, since this was meant for a convention background piece...we didn't want the door to open and someone snap it off. the hinge under the door is actually pvc ...for the next one in the making it will be a Hero containment unit...with all the fixings!!

yeah i have a feeling ur right...but i been on this band wagon for 6+ years, these are really the only props i make. I love the design of the traps, they r so clean and eloquent looking, with a touch of badass lol. I herd MR got the licence to make replicas but not too happy bout that

UPDATE: I am adding another section of the wall...and on that wall will be a generator box with a pull lever, but inside the box will be an Mp3 player wired to speakers in the unit...so when we want the Shut down siren we press play and we have movie accurate sounds whine from the unit!!...I love this thing!
