General Zod Superman Costume?

I am looking to do a General Zod Costume and I am still searching this forum but thought I would post a thread also to ask some questions. Got the figure and love it and want to do the costume now. Any tips on where to get the boots and jump suit and what to use for the trim? It looks black but was a deep red indeed and you can see it better on the Blu-ray. I am hoping for the same colors as the movie or close to them. Here are some pics.

Hi there

Just a small help if needed (in advance, sorry for my bad english):

- for the boot shape they used an inner shoe, some kind of tuxedo shoe and applied the fabric over it
- the trims & emblems were made of black colored foam latex, once dryed it looks nearly to be grey (in case of Zod, Faora etc. suits), very light and elastic material
- the fabric is a black sheer (see through) 4-way spandex with a grey colored glossy chainmail pattern printed on it
