Hey everybody,
relative newcomer here so I'd first like to extend my heartfelt greetings and thank everyone who's uploaded so much as the most minimalistic costume or prop projec, your hard work inspires pseudo failures like me to crawl to a point with their projects wherewhich they'd be presentable.
That said, as per the title, I'm fabricating a cosplay out of the ruins of some armor I made last Halloween and was extremely displeased with. I thought the idea of combining my original idea (Shepard's casual armor in Mass Effect 3) with Starcraft 2's Matt Horner, or at least one of the concepts thereof, and Emperor Roan Fel, a Star Wars expanded universe character.
leaning towards concept 3, as that's what I can most easily pass as.
past costume, liking the shoulder design and general layout, I feel it'll bring a utilitarian feel to this "royal officer" look.
And with this chest armor and perhaps cloak, I think we'll have a very neat look.
With references established, I'm beginning to to look for cheap clothing to start. I know very little about fashion, what would you all suggest I look for? I'm told Horner's Jacket is a Mandarin Collar, and agree. Any ideas for cheap accurate footwear? I see a few nice motorcycle boots and even a pair of motorcross ones, but feel there's some other word for what one would call those boots that Horner concept 3 is wearing, which is what I'm after, or the next best thing.
