May be a stretch, but, Patrick Swayze.

I declare Lambzilla victorious!

This is who I was thinking of:

Ian McDiarmid:

Monarch - "Star Wars ROTJ"
Butler - "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels"
Porter - "A Performance of Macbeth" - Ian McDiarmid as Porter in Macbeth (1979) - YouTube

The Macbeth is awesome if any of you are into that sort of thing. Judi Dench, Ian McKellan, and tons of other British actors you've seen everywhere.

Ok... looks like Lambzilla is officially up!

Ian McDiarmid was a great one! I didn't remember him from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels... and I've seen that a million times!

Well... it's been almost a year, I think we can say Lambzilla has forfeited his option to post the next question so... let's reboot with an easy one:

Which Actor has played...

A King (more than once)
A Spy (more than once)
A Policeman (more than once)

And when I say "more than once" I don't mean sequels, etc but different characters.

For those who have forgotten the rules or have just joined us:

Pick a few generic characters (three seems to be a good number) and try to find the actor who has played all the roles. Bonus points if you can get more than one (or an actor other than who the poster was thinking of). Winner comes up with the next question. (Posting photos of each character is always a plus to keep the thread visually interesting!) P.S. I'll be adding to the reputation of each winner.

Kind regards,
Magnoli

Sean Connery immediately came to mind:

A King (more than once)
King Arthur "First Knight"
King Agamemnon "Time Bandits"
King Richard "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves "

A Spy (more than once)
James Bond
Barley "The Russia House

A Policeman (more than once)
Jim Malone "The Untouchables"
William O'Niel "Outland"
Detective Sergeant Johnson "The Offence"

That's exactly who I was thinking of... I told you it was easy. So, you're up... and let's try to keep it not-too-obscure. ;)

Billy Zane

A less than scrupulous handyman

One of the world's greatest superheroes
The Phantom

A doctor out of his element
Memphis Belle (the Doctor, turned bomber)

William Katt?

????

Greatest American Hero

Bone Eaters, Twin Falls Idaho

Nope. But Memphis Belle is awesome.

Another clue:

He shared screen time with a joker.

No, Sir. I'll re-post the clues, with a new one.

This actor played

A less than scrupulous handyman
One of the world's greatest superheroes
A doctor out of his element
Shared screen time with a joker

New clue:
A famous lawman

I actually thought the regulars of this game would get this easily. Glad to see that I'm racking a few brains. I'll let this ride for a few more hours and then post the answer later if no one gets it.

Famous Lawman – only Wyatt Earp comes to mind

Actors who have played Wyatt Earp:

Errol Flynn in Dodge City

Henry Fonda in My Darling Clementine (my favorite)

Burt Lancaster in Gunfight at OK Corral

James Garner in Hour of the Gun and Sunset

Kurt Russell in Tombstone

Kevin Costner in Wyatt Earp

Randolph Scott in Frontier Marshal

Joel McCrea in Wichita

Of those who has played a superhero
Kurt Russell in Sky High

Of those who have played doctors
Kurt Russell as Dr. David Grant in Executive Decision (definitely over his head)

It's gotta be him.
