Game of Thrones

Pretty big casting news

Red Viper cast! - WinterIsComing.net

I was wondering if they'd even include the Dorne storyline at all, but I guess this confirms it. The actor definitely isnt how I pictured Oberyn, but I trust in the showrunners. I cant wait to see how this all plays out on the show. After they were introduced, Oberyn, Arianne, and the other Martells became some of my favorite characters in the series.

Oberyn is necessary for one other character's storyline, but seems to me that a lot of the Dorne plot could be streamlined for the show.

Some viewers who haven't read the books already complain about the number of characters being confusing, I can't imagine how they'll be able to follow along if they suddenly introduce all of the Sand Snakes. I'm betting at least a few of the girls will be condensed. Sort of a shame, as I always pictured them like assassin Disney princesses.

Yeah my dad said he was getting tired of the show because he couldn't keep track of the characters. I said he was getting old and it was easy to follow! :lol

I haven't read the books and with one exception haven't had trouble keeping up. Ramsay Snow was the only one having me go "huh?"

The thing I love is that the actors all seem to say that Jack's a really nice guy, which makes his portrayal of Joffrey that much more impressive.

The funny part is that, while Joffrey is always a bad person in the books and you want to see him go down, the show actually managed to make him worse, which is also kind of impressive.

That's pretty much the way of it with most people who play bad guys: huge sweethearts in real life.
