Game of Thrones

I forgot to add that I loved the fact that the kid Tyrion gifted the prostitutes to is now a major rumor/mystery going around and people are trying to find out what he did. :lol

Yeah, young Podrick has everyone baffled around the Red Keep as t how he handled all those girls... bet the keen boy threw up a venus butterfly here and there and a few dirty sanchez' I really wish Martin would hustle up with book 6... anyone have any news on that? My mind is starting to go to mush

He's released a few sample chapters over the last few months. You can check them out on his website. Other than that, it'll be done when its done.

Is book six the last, or is the series ongoing?

And can someone explain where Theon ended up in Sunday's ep?

SPOILER if you haven't seen it yet.

Did he just go full circle from captivity to captivity?

Hmmmmm.... Do I search out those chapters to get my fix, and risk them being changed in the final release.... Or wait patiently?

There has to be some pressure on him now to finish, right?

Yes. His captor, who is Roose Bolton's ******* son Ramsey Snow, tortured him, sprang him, took him on a ride, and then brought him right back to where he started. Pay close attention to the cross on which he's being tortured. It's identical to the banner of the Dreadfort men that Jamie and Brienne have been captured by.

Holy crap! This season just gets better and better! The Jaime/Brienne scene was perfect! I loved the Tywin/Tyrion/Cersei scene at the end.

Yeah the bath scene was so great. It was damned good in the books, but it really popped on screen. Arya's scenes nearly brought me to tears. So heartbreaking. The fight between Beric/Sandor was damn impressive. Charles Dance was just fantastic. That man just seems to have been born to play Tywin. And the ending...wow. So creepy and I love the little nod to us bookreaders. Well done! Kinda sad as I just realized with this episode that the season is now half over, though.

Another great episode! I always get goosebumps during Daenerys' scenes. And maybe Jon Snow and Podrick should sit down and compare notes. :p

And here I thought lightsabers were the be all end all for exciting sword fights that aren't just metal swords clashing at each other. The fire effect and the sword play was just brilliant. It actually felt like these characters were trying to hurt each other. Bravo!

I like how some of these episodes delve into specific subjects without being blatantly obvious. Like how the last episode of Season 2 dealt with characters committing to one path when many are placed in front of them, and how this episode dealt with characters judged by their reputations. The scene with Jaimie was handled very well.

As for Shireen,

I know, I know. Ho ho ho.

I cried......

I kinda missed the last bit of the bath scene, what did Brienne say when Jamie collapsed in her arms?

I don't remember exactly how she phrased it, but she was shouting for someone to help the Kingslayer which prompted him to remind her that his name is Jaime.

Poor Jamie, he would've been a cool guy if he hadn't knocked that boy off the tower. :(

Every episode this season has had me either saying, "WTF, that's awesome!" or "WTF, the next episode is going to be awesome!"

Having not read the books, everything taking place is usually unexpected. I look forward to Daenerys next raid.

BTW, did Jorah already tell Daenerys how he feels about her last season? I feel like I missed that.

Great episode...again

The sword fight was awesome. I remember in the books the smith's comment about how Thoros always ruined his swords by lighting them on fire and had to get a new one made after each fight. Was that why Dondarion's sword gave out in the fight?

When he gets point of view chapters in a Feat for Crows you get more insight into his motivations and regrets

The swordfight was especially good, and Beric probably didn't even realize how afraid the Hound is of fire...

I loved how well Cersei, who fancies herself adept politically, get outmaneuvered by dear old dad. In the book, it went pretty much the same way, only Tywin told her that as long as she toed the line, he would at least give her a say in who she'd marry.

The girl playing Shireen did an excellent job, and giving Pathface's song to her was probably a good move. That said, mom is a bit loony.

And yeah, the Jamie/Brienne scene was perfect.

So apparently I was wrong about Stannis and Mellisandre playing... uh, Come Into My Castle. *cough*

As I was rereading book 3 to refresh my memory about the show, M is talking to Davos about Stannis' fire "burning low" and hints that with Davos' help, she could birth more shadow children and even says she could give him great pleasure.
