Thanks for the info! I think my authentic Graflex days are in the past anyway (at least as far as looking on eBay), just curious since these look impeccable at a glance. I'll have to snag one of these some day.

I think the bottom line is that there are people out there that can always be fooled and those that can never be fooled, regardless of how good a reproduction being looked at. Make sure you're one of the latter by knowing the finer points, even if you don't have an original in-hand to compare. :)

Also the part holding in the bulb release looks like a button head cap screw or something rather than a rivet like on the originals.

Happy to see there are differences from the originals!

Does anybody know when the bottoms are going to be shipped?

If you really want something that doesn't look anything like an original Graflex, you should really look at something from Korbanth/Parks. I was hoping these would be spot-on minus a detail like the "R.E." - they look good in photos so far and I'll reserve final judgement until I have them in hand.

Nah I have a vintage already, happy as they will not be passed on as originals.

They still will be, as are far inferior versions (though I'm not commenting on the intentions of any of the purchasers here). People who don't now any better won't be able to tell even if there are egregious differences. And those that know would never be fooled. I dislike this argument profusely. Even if these were spot-on it would still be simple for someone well-versed to tell the difference between vintage original and new replica.

So as long as folks aren't selling the replicas for $600+ to unsuspecting folks thinking they are buying a vintage all should be good. Otherwise the troubles will start.
