FYI RECASTER ALERT atom_kinder on ebay has stollen my work

... So recasting is not done within the RPF community, and if someone here is buying props and recasts them to sell again, indeed that person should be banned from the RPF. ...

The last time I looked this is usually done. Granted, it can be a tedious process, because recasters can be sneaky. And artists can be complicated, too. But usually recaters are very quickly spotted, called out for their actions and do not spend too much time on the RPF after that. The community is very much self-regulatory regarding this, and this is what the RPF makes such a great community.
By the way, if I recall it correctly, outside actions can have an impact on one´s RPF membership.

Sorry for a downer post, but eBay couldn't care less about complaints against a seller who is making eBay money - that would work against them as they care only for profit, obviously. I spoke to a senior customer rep about this a while ago and got this info from him. eBay is a real piece of work! I feel really bad because I once bought a stormy helmet off this loser about five years ago and until someone listed his aliases over the years, I wouldn't have realized.
The only thing you could really do is get his address and send some heavy, pipe hittin' mofos to talk heavy to him. He probably still lives with his mother though, so maybe not a great idea.

Question guys about eBay seller atom kinder on so I take it he has recasted someone episode 7 storm trooper that's not good good thing I double checked I was tempted in buying but will not support recasting.

for the record, his first order trooper is a recast of an anovos bucket, his OT stormtrooper (which are no longer listed on his ebay store, as well as the assassin and iron man) is a recast of the SFS trooper. (set for stun) that was laser scanned and molded by someone decades ago, i cant recall who had done the fiberglass originals. both of them are very poorly cast from atom. the bottoms are always squished due to the collapse of the mold edges during casting and the faces sunk in ever so slightly to not be accurate to the original anymore.

I have a question. Wouldn't it be better to not complain to eBay and just make posts in every prop site you know to discredit him? If eBay cancels his account, he would just create a different account, or go on Etsy or Bonanza to sell his recasts under a different name. It would only be a slight inconvenience to him. However, posting all over will definitely hurt his reputation, and anyone searching for his name on the net, would definitely avoid him.

Correct it is a recast anovos helmet, the first one. Every thing he makes and has ever made is a recast :(

That's a good idea too. I think there are several about his bad work already but more would certainly help steer people clear.
