TM/Troopermaster has recast CFO

This sucks. And that’s my outsider/new to Star Wars collecting view but the Star Wars replica world seems to be a very dark place to navigate. It’s really hard to find a little bit of joy fending off recasters, straight up liers, dishonest people and unreliable companies (including those holding official licenses).

Sorry this happened to you Mark. You’re one of the few people in the business with actual work ethic and a lovely person to do business with. For what it means I bought two items from you way back when I was still new to the hobby and and those purchases remain some of the most satisfying I’ve ever done, even 10 years down the line.

Really sorry this happened to you.

Maybe worth considering, although his RotJ helmet is not on SWH, just his ANH helmet/suit - and that’s not been called into question here.

I was under the impression that TM 'upgraded' his ANH armour and helmet when RS Props came on the scene. His original armour and helmet was always very debatable in the first place as well from memory.

He just seemed to get a free pass when it came to recasting for some reason.

Either way I appreciate the work and great helmets and armour CFO has done over the years so think it is more than uncool what has happened with the ROTJ items.

He just seemed to get a free pass when it came to recasting for some reason.

Either way I appreciate the work and great helmets and armour CFO has done over the years so think it is more than uncool what has happened with the ROTJ items.

This all stems from a deep rooted manifested anger against me for something I didn’t do some 10 years ago.
I’m not sure if you’ll remember but there were some CDs being sold of the LFL SDS court case photos taken by TE.
now at this time we were just starting CFO and Matt aka TE owed me money from a deal I had with him personally. So as a settlement he gave me the photos. At this time I had no idea these were being sold for lots of money and no idea who was buying them or the conditions of those sales. It was nothing to do with me. This was a private matter between myself and TE and those who purchased the photos and the agreement they had signed to.
anyway........ we thought it would be nice to release these photos to the community so everyone had accurate reference. Unbeknown to me TM had purchased these photos himself a few weeks earlier and had to sign a NDA. I don’t know what he paid for them but he tells me it was a lot.
I had no idea until I received a very irate message from him after that fact. I brushed it off and got on with my life.
TM however didn’t. He was furious at me and Joe. Not sure why because it wasn’t me that actually put them online and Joe was only really a part of CFO for a year or so. His legacy lives on!
TM says he acquired some moulds of the JoeR Helmet and out of revenge and to recoup his loss from the photos he would start selling JoeR copies. Whilst maintaining to the community he sculpted it like he sculpts all his recasts.

So in essence Paul believes he has the right to rip me off because he paid for something that we gave to the community and he didn’t think it was fair. So this is payback, revenge or whatever you want to call it.

Well, he just ruined his reputation. Oh wait, he never had a legitimate one, to begin with, it seems.

So sorry to hear this. And the response from troopermaster says it all. It puts a large question mark on all his creations.

Gino did bring up in the past that he was convinced he was recasting. At the time I think to remember that I didn't believe the evidence brought forward, maybe falling victim to bias and wanting to believe the claims by troopermaster, but if Gino was truly correct all those years ago, then I owe him an apology.

I haven’t been involved as much recently as I once was In the hobby, but TMs latest suit looks just as wonky as an RS suit. Years ago his ANH stuff looked way different to any TE lineage but with this latest revelation maybe we need to go back and revisit those previous topics. I’ve never really paid much mind to TMs ROTJ. But this issue really sucks for Mark.

Just unliked his FB page. His Hero helmet was on my radar, but not anymore. Will definitely go the RS route after I pull the trigger on your ESB mkII/ROTJ Death Star TK sometime later this year.
