Hi folks,

I really, really wish I could take credit for this piece but it's not mine, it was made by my girlfriend . It was her final piece for her modelmaking degree in university, she's just about to graduate. It's so awesome I just had to share it with you guys. It's constructed entirely of moulded fibreglass and resin with metal powders, the only part not made from scratch are the wingnuts around the hood which she cast from an original. The rest she spent weeks lovingly lathing, sculpting, sanding and filling before a back breaking moulding process. But it's come out so well, I'm so massively proud of her right now :D! She's hoping to go into prop making either in London or the big studios like Pinewood, and with work this good I reckon she'll make it aswell. It would be great to hear what you guys think of it. Here are some pics:

If you're in or around london and would like to see it and her classmates work in the flesh, check out the New Blades 2010 show. Lots of industry people there and a great chance to look at some truly awesome models of all kinds.

THoC :).

Fantastic, looks just like the real thing!! Love the dull patina (sp) on the brass parts. She is a very talented lady, good luck to her.

Wow, that looks AMAZING! I bet it's a little lighter than the real thing too.

There are some people I know who would pay a crapload for these...

i love it. i really do!

if i had a constructive criticism it would maybe be that the faux welding around everything is a little too thick and overdone. it sure wouldn't stop me from giving this an A and or buying it though :)

Thanks everyone she's really happy with the replies :). @Gwizah, if you do know people who'd buy this please me so I can point her in their direction, she still has all the moulds and I'm sure she'd love to sell some :).
